West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

we built this city on broken glass

It was unusual, perhaps, for the snowy-haired man to make such an effort. Especially one that came at the cost of his own privacy, to an extent. Frost near notorious for his lack of words on any given day let alone any mentions off his own past and yet, tonight, he found himself inclined to try for the woman before him. She was pack, after all, that alone afforded her more privilege than any other being upon the street. A part of the stallion attempting to broaden that pack bond that existed between them. After all, the stronger those ties between them the more successful the pack and yet too, Frost found himself unwilling to leave Malia believing she was so alone as she seemed to feel or that she was the only one whom had ever felt exactly what it was like to be caught between two worlds. Her life was hardly going to be easy by any means, there was no simple or quick fix other then the simple experience of living and yet 'living' in a world you didn't understand could be equally as daunting. Frost long ago having learned to shield most of his own past and yet the briefest look inside would hardly hurt here and now. He needed his pack to trust him, after all. That trust requiring some show of hand on his part. Tonight a singular effort in that direction. That stallion far more capable of befriending those he desired to befriend then any truly gave him credit for. Not that he found he blamed them. Those mentions off his Mother almost hesitant and entirely fleeting, that care Malia seemed to have for him unanticipated. Frost simply unused to having any other display any sort of emotion over a problem he had come to believe was his own. The equine attempting to state little more than fact along with that assurance his Mother had surely invested that time in him because he was her only child. She had no other option. That idea he was selling himself short seeing the man glance upward once more. Frost meeting the woman's gaze for several moments though no further words found him then, the stallion pushing aside the idea for now. Maybe she was right. A part of him unwilling to consider it all the same.

It was that discussion of Hunter's that readily saw Frost's thoughts return to the more immediate presence. Malia's lack of understanding upon them clear. Frost refusing to allow her to simply exist in that state of ignorance when it was likely to get her killed, the man choosing those words as best he could to attempt to explain just why they were better avoided. Frost hardly the sort of being to mince his words in any sent. The stallion offering that blunt assurance that the Hunters he spoke off had every desire to eliminate her, given the chance. Malia appearing almost thoughtful for a moment as Frost continued to lean against that railing. That sudden query as to whether or not you could tell one Hunter from another by the weapon seeing his own features frown slightly before his head offered that nod.

"I think it's highly likely that you could tell, yes. I'm going to assume you might still have this arrow you were shot with. Turn it over and look along the shaft or near the base. If you see the word KohlTec it was a supernatural Hunter. If the arrow was made of silver I also suspect it was a supernatural Hunter. They use much more specific weapons then any human merely hunting for food or sport."

He hardly saw any need to query just why she had kept that arrow, it hardly mattered. If it assisted her in understanding then so be it. Frost inclined to merely allow her to keep it. Her sudden question on just why they didn't band together and drive the Hunters from the city seeing his lip quirk ever so slightly. That very tenacity one of the reasons he had found Malia so intriguing from the beginning. His head shaking softly then.

"It would turn into a War. Hunter's have powers just like we do. We would be more evenly matched then you think. The Council is a group of Hunters that has worldwide connections and a handful of representatives in this city too. If it got big enough and the council got involved they could bring hundreds if not thousands of Hunter's down on this city. Hunters are immortal beings, they heal faster than even we do, even if we did outnumber them we wouldn't outmatch them. They keep databases on us, all of us, they have our powers listed, our addresses, our mates. They know to much. At least the ones who work for the council do. It would be suicide."

He offered the words in that same simple, cool fashion he offered near all his word and yet the simple efficiency of those utterances indicated, perhaps, that Frost had given that very idea some thought before. In the very least he had lived with Hunters long enough to understand something of the way they worked and were organised. His own considerations of those beings progressing no further then the sudden look of shock that seemed to overtake the woman. Vampires and Fae, it seemed, relatively new concepts to the woman. Hmm. Perhaps Malia knew less than even he had anticipated and yet perhaps he should not have been surprised. Frost answering her simply once more. The stallion determined to present her mind with those simple facts and little else.

"Yes. Vampires with fangs who feed on blood. They only come out at night, in most cases. They smell of death, it would pay for you to be aware of the scent of anyone you meet from now on. It is rare that a vampire will feed from a Were- they often dislike our blood- but it is not unheard off. Be aware of them. They are exceptionally strong and fast. As for the Fae, it is.....not likely that you will ever meet one. They are an endangered breed, that means there are nearly none of them left anymore. Vampires are addicted to their blood and they have hunted them so extensively they have decimated their numbers. A Fae however, looks very much like a human but will be quite lightly built, usually with pointed ears- some of them can fly. They are the only true immortals. Unless killed they will never age or die from natural causes. They are considered a weaker species amongst supernaturals but they are by far the most cunning and I have heard of some possessing tremendous power. I have only ever met one though."

His shoulders lifted in that loose shrug once more. Frost pausing to allow her to query him further. The stallion content to provide her that information if only for her own learning and to increase her knowledge of the world she lived in. The more she knew, the safer she would be. The idle comment about his Mother still within the grips of those Hunters in that place he was born seeming to inspire that fire within the young coyote once more. Frost allowing that simper to find his lips again. The girl had spine, he could hardly deny that. His head nodded then.

"I haven't devised a plan but I may well need you yet, if not in Iceland then as Alpha in my absence."

He hardly paused in the utterance of that offer, significant as it was, Frost holding enough trust and faith in the woman not only to have her accompany him but to lead the very pack itself should she be needed here instead. The stallion hardly choosing to making any significant deal over that announcement, the man remaining near expressionless as always before making some effort to assure her that any matters between tetradore and himself had firmly been solved regardless of what any other may believe. Frost seeing little need to mention that Tetradore had named him his very heir in the event of his death. That metaphorical crown he so stood to inherit laced with its own proverbial poison and yet- such were matters for another time. Frost hardly unashamed to admit he often found himself bored in that metropolis. A war horse without any wars to fight surely prone to just that. Malia seeming to latch onto the idea in turn and yet he was hardly surprised. She was quick, intelligent and used to working. She needed a purpose in the same way he did. Something to absorb her mind no matter how small it seemed. A first, more simple task perhaps a good indication of just how useful she might yet prove to be. Frost asking after Ceaser now and just how her previous Alpha had gone about recruiting those members to his pack. That snort he was answered with prompting that faint amusement to his features all the same as she continued.

It was curious, really, the manner in which Malia had seen those problems within her former pack and yet instead of merely pointing out those flaws to this Ceaser fellow she had expanded upon the idea herself. The young woman seeing the value in numbers and co-operation rather then those squabbles over land and females that the male of any species was prone too. Frost inclined to admit those coyote packs were similar, in some fashion, to the horse herds he had grown up within. That set up a little different and yet the point remained all the same. Despite her lack of knowledge on what she truly was Malia possessed an ability for foresight. For problem solving and for diplomacy, it seemed. Frost entirely intrigued to test her abilities to some extent. His head nodded then. Praise surely permitted when it was due. Frost hardly prone to voicing any words without cause let alone those that might encourage an individual.

"You were ahead of your time, it seems. Diplomacy, among predators especially, is not often easily achieved. Your talented then."

It was not so much a question as it was a statement. Frost seeming almost contemplative once more before that tease suddenly left her lips, Frost allowing that rarely seen playful roll of his eyes.

"All is fair in love and war- as they say. In other words, it means a win is a win, no matter how you achieve it."

His own words were, for once, equally light. The man displaying that rarely seen good-temperament and yet he was making more of an effort with Malia tonight then he had made with any other in a truly long time. Frost finding he near enjoyed her company now that they had gotten to the bottom of what had been bothering her these past few weeks.

"I'd like to expand my own pack a little more. There are still a handful of Were's in this city without a pack to belong to and I'd like to convince them they belong in mine. How useful do you think you can be in this? I'd like to see your skills in action, I think."
