it's over, i'm through
I saw you standing there and I knew I'm done for
There was no denying that the prospect of owning that painting he had coveted for so long was particularly pleasing. Originally, his desire for the artwork had been little more than a passing superstitious comment by that red head vampire he'd so adored and yet, over time, he had naively convinced himself that maybe, she was right. Maybe that picture of the calm ocean would too bring his life some sort of tranquility instead of the calamity that struck him presently, thanks to the portrait of turbulent waters that presently hung within his bedroom. It was a silly desire, and somewhere, in the back of his mind, he knew this. Even so, it hardly stopped him from perking up ever so slightly at the sheer mention of it. That notion that he might need to dress, much less need something to hide the painting, however, prompted a small scowl to his features. He could hardly help to mutter that his plan had originally been to simply teleport the painting back. Her assurance that it was boring, caused the man to roll his eyes and yet, he supposed he was willing, for her, to do things the old fashioned way.
The man rose from his chair and headed down the hallway towards his own room. He was vaguely aware of her footsteps following behind him. He hardly even glanced behind him, however, his bare feet instead moved fluidly across the carpet of his room and towards the dresser. It only took a few moments before the man found a loose fitting shirt, the clothing piece tugged over his muscular frame before the Alpha paused, only to fetch a blanket from his bed. This, he was certain, would be large enough to hide the painting. He wanted to be certain that it arrived back within his quarters in one piece, safe from any harm that might come to it during that theft.
It was only once those items were retrieved that Tetradore led the way out of the Ark, only to inform the woman they had a bit of a walk to make it to the Northside where the painting was located. His gaze briefly dropped down to her shoes as she commented on choosing the perfect ones for tonight's adventure. He said little on it, however, instead simply content to lead the way through the large, ominous warehouses. His emerald eyes shifted only at the sensation of the weight of her gaze upon him. That question was innocent enough, truly, and yet, for a moment, Tetradore found himself frowning at the truth of it. He had told no one of his mistress' reappearance within his life, much less the fact that he was merely counting those days of freedom he might have. That past was one he kept close to his chest, one he was sure she would understand even less than his sibling. Tetradore cleared his throat, pushing off those somber thoughts to instead focus upon something else entirely. "I'm afraid not. I just got back from vacationing in France. Raven and Tobias recently attended a wedding overseas so...the Ark has been quiet lately. What have you been up to?" He inquired, purposefully redirecting the conversation back to her.
