West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

when you look into an abyss, the abyss looks into you
In the quiet darkness of the night, she remembers.

No matter how long she had been away. No matter how much distance she placed between herself and there. Somehow she always finds her way back to that place -- this place.

The moment she steps foot onto the sacred ground of Sacrosanct, she feels it. She is not the only one who remembers. The tigress takes a moment to knead the ground beneath her paws as a broken yet pleased rumble echoes in her chest. Oh yes. It would seem she was remembered well. The power flowing into her veins was a testament to that.

For a long moment she pays homage and gives thanks in silence and closes her lids over glowing amethyst eyes. It felt good to be home. Returned? Regan didn't know. Perhaps it was the unwavering acceptance she felt from both the place and its inhabitants. Which reminded her.

The tigress moves away from the sights and sounds of the city and heads for the wild places. She glides forward with a horrible strut, a predators haughty stride and low slung head. She weaves between the wilted corpses of trees with an uncanny grace. Too much dead nature here. Not far enough. Her body presses against the roughened trunks leaving her scent etched in the bark.

Regan moves like a blight through the forest. Just the feel of her causes the forests inhabitants to flee in a flurry of bodies and the sound of little feet and a rustle of grass. The birds mark her path with a cacophony of calls into the night. However, as the tigress draws nearer to the center of the wilds, the cries quiet and the darkness stills.

With haunted, glowing eyes she peers through the foliage at the dockyard. She knows she should go in and announce herself. Wants to see her friends and the man with the emerald eyes. But she can't bring herself to. Not yet.

The monster observes the dockyard with a smile on phantasmal lips. She could stalk the inhabitants. Scare and give chase. It might be worth it just to spend a few more moments in the darkness gazing at the stars. And yet... She had never considered herself a coward before this moment and perhaps that thought was the push she needed. For only moments later a single foreleg that slips forth from the shadows. Then soon after the muscular bust of the tigress herself. The moonlight that illuminates the dockyard shies away from the tigress, leaving Regan as an inconsistency in the shroud of darkness that hangs so thickly here.

The monster purrs.

"Thinks like this."
