It was best for her to hide away and not let their patrons see her weakness, because it could be used against them. Participating in those rings meant that their enemies could learn about their movements and anticipate what they would do should they try to attack. When she had the Ark here by herself the Ape pack attacked attempting to take over the West. Luckily her feral side came out to help defend the home and family she only belonged to. Of course she had help from Frost and Malia, but just because that threat was eliminated didn't mean there would be others. One thing they had to their advantage was that whatever sort of power they had not everyone was aware of it, maybe some of their powers, but not all of them. Within the ring you couldn't use your powers, Jackal had the ability to neutralize everyone's power before they entered. Tonight they were attempting to do something new.
There were many Weres that couldn't participate in the fights, because it was done on land. So, for the first time this evening they would do a water fight. Now a land Were and a water Were would not fight one another, but two water Weres could. They didn't have an arena built with underwater lights. So, they would do these fights in the evening now that the sun was in the sky much longer. This would be a fun avenue that would open the doors for new fighters and an additional flow of money to come through. The staff would need additional help and Raven was more than happy to pull up her sleeves and help out. Coming down from the deck of the ship the lupine moved past the other staff members carrying the various things they needed. As she went down the steps she noticed their newest staff member setting up the bar. A small smile appeared as she shook her head. Someone forgot they were working upstairs. Staying within the shadows she noticed Caroline was looking up near where she was probably looking to see if Tetradore was around, after all he was known to stalk around this area. Pulling some of her golden-brown curls from her face she stepped out of the shadows and leaned against the rafters and crossing her arms, looking down at the girl with a kind smile as she spoke softly.
There was no need for Caroline to concern herself of the green-eyed man. The woman was doing her job very well and not causing any problems. Raven was quite sure that Tetradore would continue to tolerate the woman so long as she continues to fulfill her promise. Sometimes giving another a second chance was a good thing.
