We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;
Mira did not meander, no, she rarely ever did, the woman tended to walk with a purpose to her very step. Even still, after practicing within her cove which usually gave her a certain ease.. Today was different however, even the sea breeze which swept gently through her darkened locks did nothing to quell that unplaceable unrest. The she-wolf walked up that steep incline which was only reminisced to home, the Ark quite close as she cut through the parking lot that seemed quite dead, the quiet before the storm, in a few short hours that lot would be near full. The cars that were there, Mira could not help but eye, they were perfectly familiar, nothing seemed out of place, at least not until that panicked shrieking youthful voice that belonged to Maeve. The child fae was here later than usual... her eyes quickly scan the area to find where that panicked cry had come from. That sound it near cuts through her. She could make out those names that fell from the fae girl's lips, but she could not find her.. not even a glimpse. Mira moved quickly trying to find her and all she found was speeding Chevy Tahoe racing away. The sound that met her ears next were like the whine like a banshee uttering its forlorn cry of tires that reached her, without much thought she ran through those few parked cars, but it was too late. There was no trace of Maeve. Something didn't feel right... in fact, she saw the hair clip she had once given the girl upon the concrete, strands of blonde still clinging to it, most likely ripped out from that struggle. Reaching down she grabbed it, her fingers scraping against the floor. "Shit." The she-wolf muttered emphatically.
The large suv sped away leaving Mira standing there, dumbfounded at the entranceway to that parking lot where that sad little trail she followed had gone cold. She was frozen entirely helpless, those brilliant golden eyes barely able to catch a glimpse of those plates as that vehicle moved out of sight. What little she could do on her own, yet that desire to simply go after that vehicle roared inside of her. It was undoubtedly kitcat's voice she heard, her mind seemed to connect the dots as to why someone would want to kidnap a child. The very thought seemed to make the contents of her stomach turn leaden.
It was made painfully clear what she needed to do. She pivots upon the balls of her feet, sliding that clip into her pocket before moving with haste into the Ark, her slender but well-muscled legs carried her. She was certain the answer resided with Tetradore and that was exactly where the she-wolf had b-lined it to. She headed swiftly through that ship ignoring most of the looks of the staff as she slid down that hallway passed her room and the others until the very last door of that hallway. Panic assaulting her, knocking upon that door, her hand found the familiar handle of that door that was slightly opened. She hovered for but a moment, as if considering how to enter the alpha's room. He had been absent as of late like he was avoiding the very she-wolf purposefully. How they had seemed to hot one minute only to be cold the next only seemed to bring a sense of confusion to her. That ever enigmatic Tetradore would forever be a puzzle she was destined not to solve it would seem. Sound effects from a video game flooded to her ears, perhaps she would have been more curious as to what the boys were playing if the weight of the munchkin being fae-napped wasn't so heavy on her mind.
Entering that room she found Tetradore and Tobias entirely fixated upon that tv. "Hey Tetradore.. Tobias.. we have ourselves a big problem.." she declared, her golden eyes falling upon the two men."You know our mutual fairy shadow? I think she was taken in our parking lot.. I tried to get a glimpse of the suv.. I got half a license plate, but they were gone before I got there, the rubber is still fresh. I smelled... hunters too." Who would have thought, hunters brazen enough to draw so close to the Ark and snatch a creature that was under pack protection. What the hell would hunters want with a little fae girl she hardly knew but one thing for certain was if they were going to get their little fairy kidlet back they needed to act soon.
I'd rather be dangerous;
