The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He hated feeling helpless when he saw Sam's power acting up. He could tell it was bothering her that she couldn't control it right now. He knew it was just temporary and once the baby was born, she should be able to control her powers again, no problem. But he hated seeing her looking so dismayed about it. Troy looked like he felt really bad about making light of the situation and he immediately apologized when he saw her expression. She told him how the baby was influencing her powers and Troy smirked a little. I can understand that, at least a little. When Amelia was pregnant, she found it a little harder to control her urges." He was quick to throw up his hands when Kit gave him a look, knowing exactly what a vampire's urges might be around a faerie. "No, not like that. I was never in any danger. Amelia is older than she looks and she's very good at control. She was just hungry more than usual." Kit gave him one more skeptical look but when all he saw was affection in Troy's eyes as he talked about his fiance, he finally let out a breath and let it go. As Sam stepped into his arms, Kit couldn't help but relax around her. Everything felt right when she was with him. But then she got tense because of Troy wanting to go back to the place where he was kept. Her voice rang with finality when she said that neither of them should go back there. He could tell Troy was torn and really wanted to set his eyes on the place himself, so he was actually surprised that his brother relented and asked if he could send Dark Hunters there instead. When she said Dark Hunters are the ones that should be investigating it, Troy chuckled. "You do know I'm employed by the Council, too, right? I don't know if Kit has told you this but we grew up Hunters. We might night be the same class as the others, but we've lived and breathed hunting down dangerous supernatural beings since we were toddlers. Our father was a Hunter too and taught us everything he knew." Troy looked super impressed with himself. Kit gave a sigh, eying Sam nervously as he waited for her reaction. They hadn't had a lot of time yet to really go over his full past. How would she feel about knowing he spent most of his life hunting down other supernaturals? As he reassured her, the words just kind of slipped out. "My love." It felt so natural and yet even as they left his lips, he tensed a little, wondering how she would react. He didn't want to scare her off. She was quickly becoming everything to him and he knew that baby would be, too. What would he do if he lost them both because of his stupid mouth? Luckily they were able to change the subject talking about food next. She mentioned that she could cook and Kit smiled. "But then you wouldn't be able to spend time with the two of us." His eyes sparkled with mirth. He couldn't stand time away from her, even with his long lost brother sitting across from him. She admitted that they added a good place on DoorDash though and he chuckled, smirking at her knowingly. When she mentioned to Troy about ordering from the restaurant before, he nodded. "Oh yeah, I definitely remember seeing all the drink cups and empty wrappers laying around from that place. You were addicted." He said with a smirk of his own. As she handed him the phone, Troy had no problem rattling off about three meals worth of food. Kit chuckled as he turned to Sam, enjoying their little alone time while Troy continued his order. She said she needed to tell him something and he raised a brow expectantly. "Yes?" He teased in a soft smooth voice as he leaned in to rub his nose across hers lightly. She started talking about feelings and he tilted his head, trying to read her expression. He wanted to take everything in, memorize her every inch as she spoke. She was just so beautiful. He could listen to her forever. Then she blurted out that they were having a girl and he felt his heart skip a beat as joy lit up his eyes. "Really? I would like that. I mean, I wouldn't mind either way, but a little girl...wow..." He smiled at her. "Got any names picked out?" |
