East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

fading into oblivion

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
Serafina's craft rarely made her friends within her line of work. Many of the patrons that visited her were either terrified of her and her capabilities when it came to the potions she brewed or they thought her entirely strange and attention seeking with the wounds that would sometimes caress her wrists. She was oblivious entirely to the emotions that such wounds had created within the man. In fact, she hadn't even intended for him to see all that she had put within the liquid. It was supposed to be a trade secret, the components of what she crafted and somehow, he had seen. Such revelation hardly weighed very heavily upon her mind, however. She had already brewed his deathly vial and certainly was going to ensure that he paid for such a thing somehow. Serafina offered him only the briefest of grunts at his comment of her capabilities of holding her liquor, choosing neither to deny nor confirm such a thought process. Instead, the young girl chose to demonstrate her capabilities of walking, managing to successfully get herself to the door frame with little face planting involved, something that she at least called a success. Her sensation of victory, however, hardly lasted long as she realized that they would be walking to where ever their destination happened to be.

Her lips pressed together in the smallest display of uncertainty, unsure if she was capable of actually venturing down the sidewalk to their destination for a long period of time. In fact, for a brief moment Serafina was considering returning to her work bench to pass out instead of risking a stroll down the sidewalks of her side of town. The thought, however, hardly lingered long before she felt his fingertips along her hip bone, securely guiding her with a simper upon his features. Clearly he was enjoying this far more then his previous grumpy exterior might have suggested. She remained silent during his fairy tale comparison, choosing to focus on the task at hand rather then discovering some witty come back. Serafina glanced up at the mention of the cab, relief immediately flooding her slender frame and graciously she stepped towards the open door, offering him a small simper in the process, "Thank you." She stated in an almost demure fashion before sliding across the seat to make room for her companion.

Her cheek rested against the cold leather material, her grey tinged gaze fluttering closed for a moment with a soft sigh. Her ebony locks curled around her features, framing her face in such a way that for a brief moment the wicked witch could almost be mistaken as angelic. She heard the name of the restaurant they would be traveling to, her eyebrow pitching upward ever so slightly in the process. She'd certainly heard of the place before but it had been out of her price range and, quite frankly, she'd never had anyone to take her out before prior to now. Her gaze fluttered open at the sound of his masculine voice, her eyes landing intently upon his features and with a small cheshire grin the girl offered the smallest of comments, "Why, my dear stalker, this almost sounds as if we're going on a date." She was teasing him of course, even if the prospect of an actual date with the mysterious, nameless, fellow certainly sounded intriguing. Serafina wasn't about to forget what this was really about though. He had a man he wanted to kill, his perhaps accidental wooing of her was certainly a happy coincidence for him, or so Serafina thought anyways.
