The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Ripper
William Jack Holloway
Truly, William was beginning to think that there was little the strange fae man might do that would surprise him, and yet it was that willing acceptance that if he should ever need help, he would call William that threw him. The notion of a cell phone was not one that was entirely foreign to the man. After all, unlike the faerie, he had been aware of the way that the modern world was developing. He had been around for the invention of cars and computers and televisions and the Internet, and yet truly he understood very little of it. Unlike many Hunters, he had never bothered with learning to drive and televisions bored him to tears. He had never needed a cell phone, and yet here this decidedly ancient creature understood a piece of technology that he himself did not. "I'm afraid I do not own a cell phone. Nor would I know how to send you a letter if I did."
The man was entirely pleased by the introduction that the two of them afforded each other. Him being a King was something that the Duke understood and could appreciate. Too often William found himself away from all the social graces that he had grown up understanding. Bowing to the man was as easy as breathing, as was the language that he would use. That he was told to call the King by his first name was an honor that he found himself voicing. The Duke found himself chuckling as he nodded to the man's words. "Yes, full titles can be exhausting. It is a pleasure that you find me pleasing, your Highness."
William was entirely shocked by the man's interest in the club behind them. He knew exactly what the building was - after all, he'd been there. He knew of the mayhem and nonsense that went on within those walls, and the idea that his roommate might been one of those dancers was a certainly odd thought. "It is true that women tend to wear... more scandalous clothing than what you or I are accustomed to." He gave the king a shrug before he nodded towards the building. If he refused to believe that his roommate was involved in such affairs, he would simply have to show him. It was that that had him turning towards the building to lead the king along.
He was hardly surprised when he fell into step beside him as he led him into the building with the pulsing lights and music. It was decidedly improper to touch the king, and yet William allowed his hand to rest on Dorian's arm as he led him through the crowd. He wouldn't lose the man within this insane crowd. It was only when he inquired to the king of whether or not he had heard of burlesque did he let his eyes drift to see the reaction of the Fae King. He watched as the confusion spread on his features to overwhelming shock, and the laugh that echoed off the man's lips was unable to be contained.
Still, even despite the scandalized look on the Fae King's face, William watched as Dorian's eyes scanned the women for entirely too long to simply be taking in the scene. Even if he was raised with the grace of nobility, he was still a man. Will's own gaze hardly lingered on Dorian for long. He too liked to appreciate the curves of those women, and despite Dorian's insistence that he shouldn't be watching those girls dance, Will was all too willing to appreciate them. He released his hold on Dorian for a second to catch the arm of a nearby waitress. His own smile was charming as he instructed her to bring them two whiskeys before releasing her. He moved swiftly then, guiding Dorian into one of the booths near the front of the stage. It was only once they were settled in those plush seats did the man finally look over at Dorian in regards to his last question.
"No, they're not going to get off the stage, Dorian. Well," He smirked then, that impish grin spread across his features as he motioned to the girls. "Unless you want them to. I'd be more than happy to pay one of them to give you a private show." He was teasing - sort of. His eyes scanned the stage before he glanced over at Dorian once more. "So, your roommate works here? Which one is she?"
But darling -- it's only human nature.
