East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Every aspect of the Last Tuesday Society was entirely peculiar from the black painted store front to the objects in the window. It was hardly the sort of place even someone like her was expected to visit. No, rather it was a shop of curiosities, often of the more morbid and dark variety. Such ghoulish things were hardly of great intrigue for the girl, death was a topic she was oft to avoid and yet, on the occasion, there were curiosities of the more lovely variety that would draw her to their window front on the way home, not that she had ever dared to step foot over the threshold of that door. Still, she had noticed these cards several night's prior, the dull yellow spotlight that mannequin stood under had the ability to so hit those pressed, sharpened metal plates in just the right way to so make them gleam if she stood at just the right angle. It was an observation that had happened quite accidentally when the girl had rounded that corner on one particularly dismal, cold, and quiet evening. The girl had intrigued her, the dress had intrigued her, and, in turn, the cards too had been noticed, even if she never thought such idle observations would ever prove useful in the slightest. It was funny, really, how life had a way of so preparing her for this exact moment.

Her head bobbed ever so slightly as the man at her side so repeated that curious title of that equally as curious storefront though even she scarcely knew exactly what this place was. Still, she hardly lingered long on what the store was, much less spent any thoughts on the possibility of it being some sort of secretive cult. Instead, her fingertips pressed against the glass as she motioned towards the woman standing in the corner, her gaze lingering upon those cards in her hand before the youthful vampire's gaze turned with expectancy towards the man at her side. Silently, she watched the frown that so marred his features, the man clearly quite contemplative of the lifeless doll she'd so pointed out and yet, Chizue herself hardly anticipated the answer that he gave her. A warm smile fluttered across her features as she shook her head. "Not the dress. I would look terrible in that." She responded, utterly assured that gown would hardly flatter her petite figure. It was far too risque for even Chizue herself. No, she'd never consider even stepping out of the house in something quite like that.

Instead, Chizue redirected the man's attention to those cards within her hand, her gaze entirely steadfast upon him as she watched that realization of exactly what she had to show him slip across his features. Softly, Chizue found herself inquiring as to whether or not the peculiar 'cards' would so work with his affinity, entirely hopeful that she might have possibly found that missing key he so needed. With these, she was assured, he would become the deadly hunter he was destined to be - his species would no longer treat him so flippantly and that, alone, was worth the girl's effort. It might be silly really, considering she'd only just met him and too that she was assisting inevitably in the eradication of her own kind, but she wanted him to be happy. She wanted to see that blue of sadness and loneliness disappear from that aura of colors that so clung to his frame. The man's comment to venture further inside immediately drew the young woman's attention away from those internal thoughts. "I'm not sure...I've never been inside." Chizue admitted, trailing after the man as he pushed open the door with remarkable ease.

Chizue paused just over the threshold of the curious store, her dark chocolate eyes so scanning the store shelves with a hint of hesitance. She kept close the Dark Hunter, however, as if somehow Kohl provided her a form of sanctuary from the intense stare of the shop keeper. The young vampire paused at his side, looking on as he plucked the metal cards from the plastic hand in front of them. She glanced upwards at him before back down at the the cards, watching quite expectantly for well, something. She hardly expected the card that so abruptly went flying through the air, an outcry of surprise so immediately left her lips as she stepped backwards. Her eyes widened as glanced from that card, to the shopkeeper, and then Kohl himself. The woman at the shop seemed momentarily just as surprised before that glare she presented them with only seemed to further intensify. This was so not what the vampire girl had expected.
