East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

The sound of her heart was altogether maddening in the silence of the alleyway that surrounded them. He could hear that steady thrum of it as it pounded against the bony walls that so encircled. Fear, perhaps? Unlikely. His existence made her that angry? Or perhaps her body was simply reacting to the increased adrenaline at so finding some victim to 'play' with, as she so liked to call it. How he abhorred that word and that blatant disregard for life that so came with it. He was dead, naturally, he had no delusions on his own state of existence and yet, was his death not worth something? Was this shell of a husk he was confined to not allowed some desire to simply live in whatever fashion he could? He could hardly help that glimpse of such blatant disgust that so crossed his features and yet, it was altogether fleeting before returning to that cool, calm, placidity his own era had so nearly demanded of him. Pleasantness was a requirement, even in unpleasant happenstances. His hands rose in an effort to be wholly unintimidating as he stepped away from her, commenting on his desire to live for one distinct thing. He hardly expect little more than a scoff from the woman as continued back out of that alleyway, what he got was certainly...surprising.

A hint of suspicion crossed his blue hued irises as the man paused at her sudden line of inquiry, his eyebrows raised ever so slightly before he found himself asking, "And why would it matter to you?" It was quite the valid question. After all, he hardly wished to give the hunter any information on his lover if doing so would put Dorian within harm's way. His gaze slowly followed the young woman's eyes towards that blood stained hand, that steady dripping only increasing as she opened up her palm from that balled fist she had so regarded him with. A soft sigh left his lips as he tore his gaze away from that substance that so called to him. The smell itself was altogether intoxicating for the vampire, so causing the man to shift almost uncomfortably. She was goading him, he knew it. She was coaxing him with that substance he innately craved to attack her and briefly his tongue flicked over his lips, even if he remained exactly where he stood, refusing to allow himself to take even a step towards her if only for the likelihood that doing so would earn him a stake to the heart.

"You really should take care of that." He commented softly, his eyes drifting towards the walls of the alleyway. "Especially if you won't let me stop it." For all Sebastian hated losing control and giving into that creature he had become, he knew very well his own abilities to deny himself were...particularly finite. It was, however, Dorian that he kept trying to remind himself of in those moments of temptation. "There is someone at home waiting for me." He spoke, so answering her question despite how particularly vague he remained. "I should like to return to him, even if you're trying your best to ensure I don't." A small nod was given towards that hand, the man finally acknowledging that which he was certain she was so attempting to taunt him with. "Although I cannot help but to wonder what happened to you to cause you to so desperately want to be attacked or kill every chance you get..." His head tilted ever so slightly to the side, those blue eyes staring at her features with a hint of inquisitiveness. It always came back to someone - a loss, a wrong that could not be forgiven, a hopelessness...it was always the same in those like her.
