East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

You're my water. You're my wine.

It was Chizue's insistence that the blonde woman would ask him to feed from her that has the vampire's brows furrowing questioningly for but a moment. Ignoring her statement, briefly, he takes her hand and lets his lips brush gently across her soft skin, commenting on the Asian girl's beauty. When she flushes pink, he offers a small smile and gives her a short nod, before tucking her hand back into the crook of his arm and steering them away from the human woman.

"I don't particularly enjoy taking someone to bed just to get blood," he admits, looking straight ahead. "When I was but a middle-aged vampire," he jokes lightly, "women and men alike would line up daily to be fed off of. They believed that if they offered their blood willingly, it would bring them luck and good fortune in the future," he shrugs nonchalantly. "I am much older than you might peg me for, Chizue," he finally looks at her, offering her a wink.

"I don't need much blood to stave off the hunger, a nice juicy rabbit would serve me well for at least a week," he laughs, though sincerity colors his lyrics. The vampire was no stranger to feeding off animals, since he had been to Sacrosanct, he mostly only ate animals. Honestly, the man didn't mind a bit, his brethren found him strange and abnormal though. Leading her back towards the crowd, he pauses to let the dancing dragons pass in front of them before he cuts across the street and back into the food vendors. "Here, let me buy you something," he grins, ordering the kabobs he had been eyeing earlier.

Disentangling himself from her arm, he quickly buys two, handing the vendor cash and receiving the sweet dumplings. Handing one to Chizue, he takes a bite, relishing the sweetness and he can't help but hum in satisfaction, "These are quite delicious," he laughs through a mouthful before swallowing. "So, tell me Chizue, how did you know I was hungry?" he pauses before tacking on another question, "And for that matter, how did you know that human would allow me to drink from her?" he asks, genuinely interested and no hint of menace in his English lyrics.

He knew well that other supernatural creatures out there had their own affinities, he just rarely ran into them. Well, he did run into a fellow vampire who trapped him in an electrical web, something he wasn't keen to let happen again. Pushing the memory away, he takes another small bite, regarding Chizue carefully, his undivided attention focused on the slight woman.

You're my whiskey. From time to time.
