East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

For a moment, but the barest of seconds suspended so whimsically within the tension of their shared reality, Isolt considers that she might have some success should she attempt to flee. Had she been privy to his true identity, Isolt would have known that this was folly, that to believe she could outrun him would have been heinous in its naivety. However, she knows naught of who he is, of what he is, and so she speculates. She is lithe, a runner by habit, her body an amalgamation of fine cords of lean muscle; and as such she harbors some modicum of confidence that she might be able to rid herself of this admittedly strange individual by swiveling her way through the crowd. This, she is sure, remains the only viable option as she cannot hope to physically overpower this man who has already shown himself to be the archetype of physical prowess. This inkling even begins to manifest itself in the slow step Isolt ventures back from him, the scraping of her shoes against the asphalt drowned entirely by the roar of the highly-stimulated crowd.

And then... a calm. The warm wash of certainty billows about her as surely as the supple fabric of her shirt billows about her slender torso... and she is calm. The apprehension, the uncertainty of only moments ago seems to leave her in a single moment, the taut ribbons of muscle coiled beneath the pallor of her skin growing lax against the bone. Even the oceanic blue of her eyes echoes the calm that lies within, this apathy for everything and everyone that is not him; she peers up at him through beautifully curved lashes, a loose tendril of gossamer copper flittering across her relaxed brow as she simply gazes on. The curiosity that would have instinctively arisen from even one of the series of comments he purrs at her is suppressed, driven to extinction by the pull of whatever spell he has cast over her. Everything, every honey-laced syllable is a certainty, an undeniable axiom, and so the young woman simply smiles and nods her acquiescence.

"Okay," she nearly whispers, running a delicate hand through her wealth of auburn curls, giving her head a slight shake in the process. The incident of mere moments before, though hardly forgotten, has been pushed... rotated into some realm of her consciousness far beyond what she may ever be capable of comprehending. All that seems to exist within the relatively tight constrictions of her immediate understanding is that she no longer fears the man before her, she actually looks upon him with some measure of intrigue, and that allowing him to purchase her a hot dog is far from the worst idea she has ever had. And so, the young woman moves to weave herself to the outermost regions of the bustling crowd, peering shyly behind her to ensure that her newfound company remains in her wake, a soft blush creeping unto the apples of her cheeks. This last manifestation of her demureness is, she hopes, nullified by the darkness of the hour as she hardly needs him to see it. "Oh!" The exclamation bounces from her cherry lips as she turns ever so slightly to face her company for the evening, extending a dainty hand politely in his direction. "My name is Isolt."
