East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young woman fiercely disliked admitting that someone had slighted her in even the smallest of fashions. She had been taught from a young age to simply accept that it had happened and, instead, move on to things society deemed more worth her attention. Her world at large so valued that politeness within their women, that pressure put on more so by any female figure that held any sort of spotlight as Chizue once had done. It was that history she had with those moments such as this that saw the Asian woman so quickly change the topic in her blatant discomfort, the girl entirely unaware that the man at her side had so effortlessly caught onto her near embarrassment that she'd given that cashier a reason to dislike her within those near minutes in which she'd had any sort of social interaction with the girl. Rather, the youthful vampire inquired instead to where they were going that might so consist of the wealthy and good to do - souls that Chizue so rarely brushed shoulders with that her pallette had never before been gifted with those delectable tastes of their auras. That high-class lounge could hardly be mistaken for what it was - a nest that belonged to the affluent alone, one she certainly didn't belong in now that she found herself amongst the ranks of the undead.

There was a soft sigh at the familiarity of this world she once lived in and yet, Chizue was distinctly aware that she no longer belonged here in any fashion. Still, she remained at Damon's side as he so faced that frighteningly stern features of the bouncer at the door. A soft breath of relief left her lips as the pair made their way past him with such ease that it nearly astounded the young woman. Damon had a certain sort of suave confidence about him that even Chizue found herself admiring, the girl entirely capable of eying those colors that so flickered even around him, dulled as they were with his undead state. In truth, it was perhaps that which so encouraged her own choice in souls for the evening, the girl purposefully plucking out an individual from the crowd whose colors closely mirrored the vampire's own, with perhaps a dash two or more of hopeful enthusiasm. For as much as Chizue lacked her own positivity, she truly enjoyed the way the world seemed entirely different to their eyes.

She glanced upwards at that encouragement that he so provided her, even as she hesitated, her gaze eying him with a measure of uncertainty. Picking them out of the crowd was never the difficult part for her - it was this that she so struggled with. Working up the nerve to approach them often took the girl far longer than she cared to admit, the woman more inclined to follow her prey like some creepy stalker with the hope that an opportune moment might occur. Chizue nibbled on her bottom lip in consideration, her chocolate eyes shifting only at the sudden fashion in which Damon laced his arm through hers. The gesture was wholly surprising and yet, the young girl remained at his side as he so quickly drew them towards that table. She found herself fretting with every step closer they took, the girl wholly thankfully that Damon too took the moment to initiate a conversation the fellow that Chizue had chosen. In truth, she was rather amazed with the way in which the man had so willingly accepted their presence. Did he not know that you were not supposed to talk to strangers?! Still, she supposed she should merely count her blessings, the girl sliding into the booth with a rather meek, "Thank you." upon her lips.

That touch of Damon's arm around her shoulder as he leaned against the booth briefly caught her attention, though the moment was fleeting before she leaned slightly closer towards the man, as if the girl was truly interested in what he had to say when she was, in fact, hardly listening to a word of it. Rather, her sole attention was focused on the color and drawing it into her very being. It was hardly difficult really, merely time consuming and yet, soon enough, those emotions he'd held so easily squashed her own more demure ones. He seemed to have noticed the closeness of her to his figure, his gaze landing upon her. "I like your cologne. You smell yummy." She stated with an uncharacteristic assuredness to her voice, the girl providing the man at her side with a small wink before her attention turned far more dutifully towards the vampire whom had so kindly assisted her. "Thank you Damon, you're such a dear." Chizue uttered, leaning forward to press her lips gingerly against his cheek, the girl not even blushing at that minimal display of affection. "Come along, love, I bet there's far more exciting places for us to spend the remainder of our evening."
