The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The pain that she exudes is strong, it reverberates through his chest - he could feel every erratic heartbeat that pounds in hers. She is as overcome with a magnitude of emotions that were just as intermingled as they once were as he had been - far worse, really. A lethal concoction of love and hate, leaving them completely vulnerable to one another like no one ever before. And for Amor, since. Since then, he had regressed and had fallen further into the darkness he was born of. He had focused on nothing more than a life driven by greed and self-image.
Amor was wealthy, wanted for nothing and it only woke and fed the monster that Harley once began to tame. It was no wonder she spat the blame at him; that mechanism of a grin on his devilish face. But, no matter how much time it took, she left him without words. She babbles as she questions reality; as Amor relives a decade ago when he indeed had left Harley without a word. He relives the pain he felt, the imaged scenes of her in her desperation to find him when there were people out for both their head's.
Casting his gaze skyward a moment, he scowls at it before taking advantage of the one gift Sacrosanct offered him. Easing his own agony in a mere moment, he looks back down upon Harlequin as she reaches out to poke him in the chest - watching her do so. With a soft smirk, he gives a breath of a chuckle as he makes eye contact with her once again. Piercing eyes flicker between hers a few moments, indulging in the fact that she stood before him - that it was her eyes that he was gazing into. Finally that grin was back, tender and simply entertained.
Reaching out with his bear-paw hand, he grazes the bottom of her chin with a bent finger. "Pet." His deep, accent-laced voice near a whisper. His eyes flashed dangerously, challenging her facetiously. Expecting a negative reaction of some sort or another, he potentially cuts her off. "You know I only did what I thought was best." It should have gone without saying but he understands her anger and almost hoped to see her fury. He loved her hate and hated her love. He loved to hate her and hated that he loved her. It was madness but it was his kind. And that is what starts the cycle all over again.
"Miss Kitty had nothing to bat at once I left. She got bored and wandered off herself." He wanted to tell her that what little heart he had, he had left with her. "Did she not?" He was convinced that he had done the right thing, that he had solved the problem and that Harley's life would no longer be threatened. Of course, he figured that Ryker got what he wanted - everything that Amor had worked for. And of course Amor was well aware that he had torn her life apart, left her alone but he was oblivious to the Hell that carried on even after he left.
Amor truly was a wicked beast.
"You're alive."
