East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Stepping out of his apartment, he was greeted by the Autumn sun â€" Like a warm kiss from the lips of a lover upon the cheeks.
Killian, donning his faded blue shirt with black jeans, and a pair of deep blue trainers, all rounded out with a grey, zip up collared leather jacket, stood on the steps of the entrance to his building and inhaled the crisp, cool air that was like a breath of renewing life upon his lungs.
Looking over at his pristine, ocean blue car, he ruffled a brow as he place his hands on leather backpack he donned on his broad shoulders.

He walked over to his late 2000' sedan and leaned on it.
"Hmm, don't think I'll be takin' ya today ol' girl. Time for me to use me feet for a change."
He softly said to his car like it was an actual person, and patting the top gently.
Taking off down the street, Killian took in all the new sights, for he had not had much time to actually walk about and take in the part of town he called home.
He greeted some strangers, flashing his bright smile. Some even complimented him on his accent, saying they enjoyed hearing him say just a few words.

After about a good forty-five minute walk through town, Killian looked around. His thirst and hunger seemed to have caught up with him, as he would stand slightly confused.
"'Scuse me madam? Ya possibly know where I could find me a place to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat?"
Killian would ask a passerby kindly, who was dressed in a black floral print dress and a white cardigan, matched with a set of black heels.
"Inner Sanctum, of course! It's right across the street darling."
She replied to him with a smile and a point of her finger. He nodded and thanked her as he quickly looked both ways, and hastily walked across the street.

Showing himself inside the cafe, he stopped at the door and shut his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he inhaled the various scents; Coffee beans being grounded up for instant coffee. Espresso beans being turned into coffee, pastries and sandwiches coming straight from the kitchen.
Killian felt like he was taken back to Ireland to the small cages him and his late parents would visit daily.
It was a pleasant memory for him, and it brought a smile to his face as he opened his eyes and walked to the counter, where he was greeted by a male worker, dressed in a black button up shirt and blue jeans.

"I'll have me a Carmel Mocha, extra shot. And one of your delicious pieces of pound cake."
He stated cheerfully, as he pulled his backpack around and pulled his wallet from the safe pocket, and handed the cashier his card once the total came up.
Receiving his card back, and his piece of pound cake, he stood at the end of the counter and was handed his mocha almost instantly.
Impressed by their speed and service, he pulled a ten dollar bill from his pocket, and told the barista to put it in the tip jar for them.

Now Killian faced classic dilemma â€" The same one every person experienced in their youth and adult life; Finding a seat.
Most of the seats where taken, as he moved through the cafe and scanned over every table. That was, until he caught eyes of blonde female, wearing what appeared to be a baby blue v-neck, seated by the window in far corner.
Killian walked over calmly, and stood by the chair, and flashed a smile at the woman seated comfortably in her chair.
"Ya don't mind if a stranger sits with ya do ya?"
