The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore
The Western King was well aware that his companion's patience for him was decidedly limited - after all, why should it not be? They had clashed in battle more than once, largely of Frost's actions coaxed by others. He had no doubt that the opposing Alpha's head was filled with degrading views upon him, even if Tetradore himself largely spoke little of Frost, nevermind that he had even less to do with the man. It was a shame, really, that things between the pair had gone so awry. They could have made a strong alliance, perhaps they even still might be capable of doing so. The importance of this place, this home he had avoided for so long fell flatly from his lips, those words apparently of just enough of an enigma to prompt the were-Steed's apparent desire to stay and hear the full extent of that offer he had for his sister's significant other. As much as he hated it, Tetradore knew well that some measure of background history was necessary to grant Frost a true understanding of the particulars of that pact they would forge over his own death. He hated the way the darkness of his own mind was so capable pulling him into that horrific oblivion, of blossoming within him a sort of hopelessness if he lingered too long on those memories. That rathe short prompting brought a sigh to his lips as he raised that bottle to his mouth, taking a long sip to steady himself before launching into that tale he often preferred to forget.
He was oblivious, in those moments at the very mention of his parents death and his own capture into slavery , to that invasion within his own thoughts. Those memories that pooled upon the surface were so unknowingly shared with his own often declared enemy - those moments of his vulnerability, of his youth, of those horrific, torturous moments he'd lived through at the hands of an undoubtably sadistic woman. He was unaware to the true extent of just how much of his past was mirrored within Frost's own, much less those vampire hands and those silver collars that reached out to him not only from the past - but too in the near future. It was so markedly difficult to go back to that life after he'd had a taste of freedom, after he had begun to heal from those traumas. He hardly knew what that future held for him and yet, there was one thing Tetradore was certain of, he no longer had that strength to go back to that life. Either, he would find a way to be safe from her callous grasp, or he intended to find that ultimate freedom in the comfort of death. It was a drastic measure, to be sure, and yet, there was simply no other escape available to him, not anymore.
Even so, he kept his words entirely purposeful, simply brushing over those details Frost had pried from his thoughts only to offer his companion that singular bit of solid ground - his own purpose within the dark chaoticness of Tetradore's life. Those emerald eyes but briefly met Frost's own, an almost pensive glimpse fluttered over his features before he found himself finally voicing those true terms of their 'peace' - terms that were a great deal larger than what even Nadya had originally wanted of him. That sheer surprise upon the man's features brought a ghost of a simper upon his own lips, the were-King entirely aware that surely none would have expected this kind of agreement from him, not after all the bad blood that existed between the two Alphas. That single whispered word brought a chuckle from his lips, his gaze turned back towards their surroundings as he brought that bottle of much needed alcohol to his own mouth. He watched as Frost moved away from that car to a piece of that rubble, his own attention easily shifted amongst the remains of that once strong community. Being here was...hard. To see those ashened bones of remains that had once been people he knew was just as difficult. Somewhere, out there, were his own parents, the were-King almost assured he could still find them, those memories of that night certainly vibrant enough within his mind to place what was left over with those faces of his past. The sheer realization of such was enough to bring a shudder down his spine. Were it not for the presence of Frost, there was little doubt within his own mind that the man would certainly be in pieces to be here again.
It was Frost's voice that pulled him from such macabre considerations, his emerald eyes easily refocused upon the man only to offer him a small nod. "As I said before, there are some other details that need to be worked out - like...Tobias and Raven and Henry....and Nadya. But yes, that is general jist of it." They were all exceptions, of sorts, specifics that needed some measure of compromise but the rest was rather clear cut. He could hardly help that almost amused look that crossed his features as Frost so quickly looked beyond that initial offer to see the truth of exactly what he was offering. He nodded in slow agreement, "You are right but....she likely would have come for Nadya sooner or later regardless. Welcome to the family." Tetradore responded, after all, even though his sister had taken to hardly acting like that sibling she was, it was what they were....family and Frost was just as much apart of it was Raven was. Frankly, with the way things were, though, he was fairly certain his sister was safer from that destruction that seemed to follow him with that distance she had placed between them.
Tetradore watched in silence as Frost considered that proposition, the man near able to see that indecision upon the fellow's Alpha's features until it slowly melted away to a sort of determination he knew he could coax from his companion. He was ignorant as to what, exactly, had prompted such resolve. In fact, Tetradore had largely anticipated it was the safety of Nadya that might prompt the fellow to agree to such a plan in the first place. The were-King easily finished that first beer, the empty bottle now held easily between his fingertips as Frost turned on his heels to retreat back to that car. He watched as the stallion reached down to grab another bottle, Tetradore hardly inclined to push him on that decision, even if it was that response he so patiently waited for. That inquiry, however, caused the corner of his lips to tilt downwards ever so slightly in a small frown. For years, he had wondered the very same thing, his childish mindset unable to come to terms with that kidnapping. It hadn't been till he was well into his teenage years that he had truly been able to puzzle out the answer to that very question, though it was hardly satisfying in the least.
Before he could speak, however, he found himself being offered a second bottle of that alcohol, this one met with a sort of chilling treatment that caused his eyebrow to raise ever so slightly in surprise. "Thanks." He muttered, taking that bottle from Frost's hands only to place his empty one in that now empty section of the case. "It wasn't either of those." The were-King started as he popped the lid from the glass container. "I merely met her criteria, I suppose you could say. The other weres she had easily submitted to her. She got bored of them quickly. Being of the Alpha bloodline....well, I was less inclined to submit to her whims. I was able to withstand her...." He paused, searching for an adequate term for those punishments that had riddled his youth. "...games, I guess. She wanted someone young and impressionable for her to mold, and a feline to ensure she remained in control. She could have easily taken Nadya or Tobias instead but....why take them when you can have the heir to the pack?" Tetradore shrugged, his voice entirely apathetic, quite purposefully so to distance himself from those simple facts that had led to so much within his life. It was simple, factual, those specific attributes so aligning perfectly enough within him that the choice seemed almost...obvious.
It was that inquiry of why he chose Frost, of all possible creatures, that prompted that small simper on his features once again. Tetradore was entirely aware of that near subtle hint of amusement within his counterpart and yet, he offered the man an all too knowing glance. "Can't it be a little bit of both?" He inquired before that almost solemn seriousness once again took over his features. "So....what information do you need?"
