The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She moves to suddenly snatch her hands away from him, dark eyes lifting questioningly to her own. He had mimicked her actions entirely, done just as she had, he is sure, her clear dislike of this same action turned upon her seeing him frown slightly before he withdraws his own hand with clear curiosity, resting his head upon his elbows now as he hurriedly recovers, seeking to manipulate her still, to bend her feminine emotions to his will with that easy grin and pleasing words. He is far more cunning then he appears, far more capable then he is ever believed to be as such is content to test the woman now, to see how far she may be pushed and persuaded to do as he desires. Women, he has learned, are often easier to manipulate by nature of there more willing emotions and ability to pity him- though why he does not know, merely grinning pleasantly towards Birdie now. She is surely more...gullible then Nadya, his pack mate having proven to be difficult in that regard, neither she nor himself willing to offer any submission to the other, resulting in there continued fights. He is above Birdie he is sure and as such seeks to attempt to sway her thoughts. Unfortunately it would seem, the woman is more assured then he had believed, pressing back against him, refusing any frozen treat until after lunch, evidently his offer of a trick similarly rejected. He continues to regard her warily a moment, mind turning behind those ebony-hued eyes. She had been unable to make him apologize and yet she had managed to deny him ice-cream this balance of power seeming...indecisive though the boy is seemingly content to ignore it for now, offering little more then a snort of sorts.
The conversation moves rapidly onward in that moment, the mention of Risky seeing the vagabond offering his own secret of sorts, the hidden piles of shows he has consumed and stashed beneath the vampire woman's bed sure to see him suffer her harshest punishment upon him so far and yet the boy seemingly pays no head, content to push back against his mistress as hard as she presses against him. He is unaware entirely of the suffering his continued escape attempts see upon Tetradore, his Alpha covering from him continuously. Suffering far more of Risky's anger then Tobias ever has, the boy surely willing to have yielded further perhaps, had he been aware of his brother's attempts to protect him even now. His shoe escapade merely the latest of a number of punishments Tobias has been content to issue in return for those she has thrown against him. Birdie's approval of his shoe consumption sees a grin lace his features once more, delight seeming to radiate from the creature before she moves to whisper towards him in turn, this sharing of whispered secrets a pleasing activity as he nods.
"Yes...tear...bed. Maybe not...too much...though....she hits....very hard when she is....mad."
His head tilts slightly as if even the words upon his tongue are displeasing to him, head shaking slightly as if to rid himself of such thoughts, dark eyes resting upon the girl once more as she mentions Azrael, the Hunter's name not unfamiliar to the spotted cat as she speaks of his...shoes. Azrael has chased him for years, even the Hunters exceptional speed little match for his own ability to predict movements of those he knows well. Her story in regards to traps however seems to....lose him, her words to hurried, confusing perhaps before understanding seems to dawn.
"Birdie likes...Hunters shoes?"
This, it would seem, is all he has managed to gleam from the conversation, evidently of the belief the woman has a fetish for Hunter footwear, looking towards her for acceptance now, seeking to assume himself his belief is right before she suddenly moves to grab his hand again, eyes narrowed once more in confusion as to why she is permitted to do such a thing and he is not, mind struggling to perceive this understanding before she speaks of the food, eyes following her own towards the two men whom are approaching with their meals, the boy seemingly more content with the pair whom approach as he moves to lean back against his chair, watching the pair warily all the same as they place the meals before them, his frame tensing slightly, eyes flicking towards the man nearest Birdie, the woman seeming- ill at ease, his own desire to protect what he values seeming to stir though he offers little more then a glare- the men turning to leave, the meal having gone so seemingly well as one hand suddenly reaches out to seize the shirt of one of the waiters, the man turning warily towards the lanky deviant.
"Helado."
It is seemingly not even a real word, the waiter staring blankly for a moment, frowning slightly in discontent before Tobias remains content to repeat it.
"Helado....dos."
The waiters gaze flickers from the messy haired boy to the woman and back again before nodding at last, pulling his shirt free from the deviant before marching back off and into the kitchen as Tobias reaches eagerly to snatch the knife and fork that has been placed before him, obediently handing them to Birdie.
"Tetra says I...am not allowed to....have those."
His enjoyment for stabbing those around him having seen this ban enforced, the young man apparently willing to obey his leader even without his immediate presence as he reaches to pick up his steak in his bare hands, lips parting now to reveal his suddenly elongated teeth, large incisors and canines having replaced his human teeth, an effort of the rarely seen partial shifting ability in this moment as he bites into the meat hurriedly- more than one other patron content to stare now, whispering snarkily to each other though he remains content to ignore them for now- near inhaling his food at rapid pace. It is only now that the waiter seems fit to return, carrying two bowls. One is placed before Birdie, the other before himself, those dark eyes content to gleam with wicked delight now. Your ice-cream, sir. The waiter moves to walk away once more, the leopard pulling his ice-cream towards him now- just to be assured Birdie cannot steal it, one eye lifting ever so slightly as he snickers- entirely sure he has won, having gotten the ice-cream she had seen fit to deny him- cunning creature that he is.
