The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
The deep bass of the music thrummed so pleasingly, the deep shadows and plush velvet all formulated to both entice and put one at ease. She too had frequented places such as these once upon a time, in other cities as well as in Sacrosanct. In what felt like another life she had once prowled their darkness, a feline much in her own right despite not being shifted into one, her eyes hungry and men all too eager to take advantage of a young slip of girl fresh from the fields of the south. Of course it was only the morning after when they awoke with a headache and relieved of some of their more valuable possessions that they might have realized she was not as innocent as they had been let to believe. She had never felt bad taking advantage of those who were so willing to take advantage of her. It had been more than a little lucrative for her, until the tables had turned and it wasn't.
As she had been all evening she pushes the memories aside, willing herself to commit to the fantasy of what was being offered tonight as she allows herself to be led to the secluded corner of that booth. She can feel his dark eyes on her as she moves to the far corner of the booth, the swing of her hips exaggerated by the motion as she turned to recline against its overstuffed cushion as Sebastian moved to join her. She followed the brief flash of his eyes to the two jacketed shadows that had silently followed them of course, questions about their presence still ready in her mind and yet she didn't feel like shattering the scene they were both painting to ask them.
It was the opportunity his momentary distraction afforded her that she took to recline slightly and swing her thin legs up and across his lap with a self-satisfied smirk as his attention returned and his hand settled coolly against her thigh. The touch even through the thick fabric of her jeans was enough to give her a slight tingle as she raised her glass to her pink lips. She indulged herself rather deeply of that caramel liquid, letting it burn long in the back of her throat as she watched him begin to lightly nurse his own drink. She would need the blissful fog that it would bring her tonight, she did not doubt as that glass lowered enough to comment on perhaps ordering more the next time around which only earned her an amused noise. It caused her lips to twitch slightly, at least happy he wasn't opposed to the idea. At ease as she was in his presence, if he was willing to buy she wasn't above over indulging for the evening. Above all else Sebastian had had never appeared to be of any threat and perhaps it left her over confident in him with how relatively little she actually knew about him. Still, just for one night she might could let all of the over thinking and questioning go by the wayside and just breathe.
She cannot miss the almost hungry look that crosses his face as her hair is swept to one side, wondering what exactly was running through his mind as her reminder of his promise seems to divert his attention at least slightly. His murmured reply a thick purr that was tantalizing in its own right as he raised his hand once more towards her. This time the movement was slower and she saw it coming towards her, yet still the lump rose into her throat and her bright eyes fluttered closed until the gently sweep of his soft fingers against her cheek trailed down to her chin. It was such a stark juxtaposition to the rough, grasping hands she had felt last before this that had her fighting a shudder though chills still crawled up her arms to her neck. Damaged, but just as he could pretend this was something it wasn't she could pretend to not be so broken for tonight. How he was everything that man had not been at least in this regard pulled her eyes to his once more with a fierce voracity just as he calmly took the tumbler of whiskey from her hands. She felt it more than she could see out of her peripheral vision, her blue-green eyes locked onto his as that hand settled against her thigh once more filling the void she didn't realize it had left.
With almost bated breath she watches as he leans towards her, the culmination of how many months of flirting around what it seemed apparent that they both wanted and yet had never given into. Part of her reminded of an old fear, that once they had given in to the electric current that seemed to run between them it would all fade away, and yet she remained focused on tonight. Just one night. She deserved that much after everything. As his lips pressed softly against hers her eyes fluttered closed once more, returning the soft pressure as the butterflies which had been gathered within her abdomen fluttered up her spine and had a soft purr resonating in the back of her throat. There were so many questions she should ask regarding how things had changed since their last meeting, but once more she buried them deep. Instead she pressed into him with more hunger, one hand trailing up his chest as her lips parted slightly. Her tongue slipped through seeking to deepen that kiss and flit playfully along his teeth and the sharp edges of those two elongated fangs dangerously. She knew no bounds at least for this one night.
