East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He was sure there was just as much lying and just plain myths in the movies and books about witches as well. He wondered if Sorcha ever delved into any of that to see what humans are finding out about her species. At least she was eating good. Adele had made good helpings for her and was eying her plate every so often as if she could grab seconds for her the minute she got too low. Knowing Adele, she would probably be prodding Sorcha with food whenever she could until she got back to what Adele considered a healthy weight. Erik glanced over as Darwin wandered closer before leaping into Sorcha's lap. He was sniffing toward her plate and Adele raised her brow scoldingly. "None for you, kitty. Your owner needs all the food she can get." Giving Sorcha a satisfied smile, she turned back to eating her own food. Erik seemed to be the only one to catch Sorcha sneaking some food to Darwin. He raised a brow and smirked before glancing back at his book innocently. He saw nothing. Plus her grin was just too cute.

Adele practically beamed at the idea of having someone else to cook for. "Don't you worry about a thing, miss Sorcha. I take care of all the cooking in this house. No peanut butter sandwiches for you....unless you just want a snack between meals. Our little secret." She gave Sorcha a wink. She usually made the rest of the help stick to a strict schedule for meals but she wanted Sorcha to put on some weight so she would get the special treatment. Plus she was a little excited about having another woman in the house. Erik seemed a lot more comfortable with Sorcha. Erik raised a brow in question at Sorcha's comment about not setting. He tilted his head. "Do i look unhappy?" He watched her curiously. He wasn't trying to be a smart ass or sarcastic. He truly wanted to know if she thought him unhappy. He shrugged off Adele's remark knowing better than to argue with her and Sorcha gave her input too. His lips twitched. "So you agree then." Now that was said with a little sarcasm since he was guessing that she was unattached as well in that sense. His eyes twinkled with amusement as he waited for her response.

At his remark about doing his taxes, she laughed and he smiled happily at the sound. She turned to Adele then, joking about him not being a man but before Adele could reply, he leaned toward Sorcha, his eyes darkening a little teasingly. "I could prove it if you like." He gave her his most charming smirk as he waited for a reply. But then she added on about not having a woman and Adele snickered behind her hand and nodded. "You're absolutely right. Poor dear." She added with an amused smile toward Erik. It was obvious she was joking about her sympathy. At her comment about the government, he shrugged lightly. "When you own so many businesses, i guess its hard to stay under their radar."

Sorcha looked pleased anyway, like maybe she'd gotten her fill of food for now. He wondered what she would do with the rest of her day. At her question, he raised a brow but shook his head. "Afraid i dont really know anyone in Sacrosanct and i dont have confections with other species. You could say I'm an introvert when it comes to the supernatural world." He smiled a little at the thought. "But i can look someone up for you if you like." He was never above doing some research and he had his persuasive means. His eyes cast over her in concern. He figured this had something to do with what had been done to her but he wasn't going to pry. He just wanted to help her.
