East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

His deep tenors echo around them as he responds to her apology, his voice surprisingly good natured considering the situation they had found themselves in. Tilting her head back, she squints at him through the dark, her head tilting ever so slightly as she attempts to make out his features but gives up after a moment, it was far too dark to see him clearly. Perhaps in her other form but that wasn't going to happen. "It'd be fairly convenient if I could control right about now," she says wistfully, though a ghost of a smile brushes her lips at his teasing remark. Taliah supposed she would find another way. At that she does as she disappears back into the kitchen, rummaging through the closet only to find the generator. Reaching a slender hand out to tug on it, it was clear she wouldn't be moving this by herself, the machine far too large for her to get it out. She was certain these things were supposed to have wheels and yet, this one did not. It was absurd!

Frowning at the contraption that could so very easily save all of her product, she sighs before exiting that storage closet, appearing next to Tetradore again as she glances down the ever darkening street. Muttering about the generator, she fails to notice the look that passes the man's face. Truly, it hadn't occurred to her that she could ask for help, let alone this man who she hardly knew. He was a customer of hers and they shared a love for chocolate and yet, she would never ask someone. Taliah rarely asked for help, hardly resorting to even her bakers for help. If she couldn't do it a certain way she would figure another way out and yet, Tetradore's voice breaks the silence, her green eyes drawing back to him with furrowed brows. Tilting her head at him, that way of hers, she listens to him question her about the whereabouts of the generator before he is reaching up and slipping that jacket off his shoulders, only to reveal those hidden muscles beneath the material.

It takes her a moment for the question to click in her head as she is entirely distracted in that moment. Perhaps ogling was not the correct term and yet, Taliah was still a woman with certain needs and she can't help but let her eyes trail the form of his shoulders down to his abdomen. The woman hardly allows her features to change as much as a look of appreciation threatens to swallow her. It's merely a second before she brings her gaze back to his features as she pushes those loose strands of hairs from her face. Reaching out, she gently takes his jacket from him before laying it on the counter. The woman was hardly going to deny his help, he easily could have left and let her fend for himself but he stayed. Turning around, she simply gestures with her hand as she leads him back into that darkened kitchen, the woman knowing every angle of the kitchen like the back of her hand. Unfortunately for Tetradore, he did not. "Ah, sorry," she apologizes in advance as she reaches back to take his hand before she leads him through the maze of work tables.

It doesn't take long before they reach the storage closet, although, she's very aware of the callouses that render his palm. Dropping his head, she waits for a moment before her eyes adjust enough to make out the outline of the generator. "It's here," she states, pointing with a finger. Maneuvering herself out of the way, she gives Tetradore the room to grasp that generator and lift it up. As the man picks it up, she steps out of the way, leading him through the kitchen once more, except this time she doesn't grasp his hand, she merely walks in front of him, gently directing him with her voice, "I think the plug ins for the generator are in the alley," she says softly, leading him towards the exit door in the kitchen rather than through the front. Passing a set of stairs that leads into her apartment, she reaches the door, disengaging the alarm before she pushes it open. Finding a rock to hold open the door, she moves out of the way as Tetradore comes through, Taliah leading him into the rain.

And by rain... it was practically a torrential downpour. Flinching as the first drops of rain hit her, she can't help but shudder at it, grimacing as she leads him to the plugins. "They're right here," she points to the wall, showing him where it could be hooked up. In only a matter of seconds, her hair is soaked through, along with everything else the woman is wearing. Frowning, her eyes travel to Tetradore as he maneuvers the generator with surprising ease onto the grown, his own clothing in the same boat as hers. Still, as he bends over to work on the plugins, she can't help but allow her green gaze to travel the length of his back, his shirt successfully clinging to his form. Not only was the man handsome, but he was built surprisingly well, his muscles rather... abundant beneath all that clothing. "Thank you, for doing this," she says as she wraps her arms around herself, the shivering already in full force, yet, she wasn't about to abandon him outside while he helped her.
