East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young woman always saw herself as nothing more than a useless being, a waste of space, and she believed she could never amount to anything. She was conditioned to think such things and she truly believed it. Though spending time with Tobi allowed her to see that she could be useful in some ways. For Alexis she did not mind keeping the young vixen safe. Rather she was proud to be seen in such a light. However, the curly-haired woman was aware that Alexis would need to learn on her own. What would happen if she was unable to save the scarlet creature? The lupine did not want to see what the vixen harmed or killed in any such way. She could protect herself. In a way her feral mind was sort of like a self-defense mechanism, but it came with a cost. She wished she could figure out some sort of switch to use her feral mind in such a controlled way, but she had yet to figure it out and she really didn't want to take the chance. Blue-grey eyes were staring at her tea in deep thought about this when her focus was broken due to Alexis startling question. As the she-wolf explains her reasoning there was a moment of silence, somber eyes shifting upwards to see the nod as she sighed helplessly.

"If he wants to be with me I won't say no, and I'll do as asked, but that doesn't mean I'd leave you, he likes you too and I'm sure he'd say something."

As Alexis explains why she wasn't drinking her coffee her shoulders would move with a shrug. She never did like coffee and she couldn't blame the woman for not wanting to drink it. Though she wished she wouldn't have wasted it. Drinking the rest of her tea she would watch the girl carefully as she ate the rest of her bagel. The option of spending time within the meadow for rabbits did sound like fun. However, Raven felt their time could be more constructive. Reaching for her pocket, she would slide out and toss a few bills on the table, enough to pay for their drink and food, along with a fine tip, and she would lift her head and lean it towards the door, wanting her to follow. A kind smile was thrown to the woman as they walked out the door heading for the outskirts.

"If that is what you'd like to do we can, or we can teach you how to protect yourself? Come on..."

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
