i used to rule the world

Alexander was nothing short of precise in his request from the young were-woman. In fact, the man was near meticulous in everything he did. That two feet had been measured with complete attentiveness, leaving him just enough room to maneuver his own fit physic between Calliel's side and gain access to the Rhinos far more tender underbelly. The Macedonian King settled quite purposefully upon the young woman's back, his hand reaching out for his spear as he encouraged the woman to remain still. The spear twirled within the air with exactness, wedging itself into the thick, armored flesh of the rhinoceros. It's sharpened point hardly pieced through the creature's hide enough to do any solid damage to the beast and yet it sufficed to distract the animal. That soft word of praise he gave Calliel seemed to prompt an equally quiet sound of satisfaction from the girl and yet he was hardly oblivious to her consideration that, perhaps,
this might make up for encouraging the rhinoceros to destroy so much of his cafe in the first place. His lips pressed ever so slightly together and yet, Alexander hardly allowed the girl's continual and fleeting thoughts to distract him, even despite the fact that every single consideration that filtered through her mind was shared with him in turn. Sometimes, that mind reading ability was far more trouble than it was worth.
Alexander's blue-green gaze remained upon the rhino as the beast dug at the ground, clearly intending to charge. His own heels dug into the young woman's side, encouraging Calliel forward with his instructions in mind. He watched as she ran towards the rhino, her hoofs reverberating loudly upon the asphalt. He watched as the rhino lowered it's head, that sharp, impaling horn pointed in their direction. Hopefully, with Calliel's affinity at work, the creature would hardly think to swing his head in their direction as the pair smoothly sailed towards the beast. Alexander's own grip lightened upon the girl's locks. His figure slid with such certainty around her figure, providing him the perfect angle to delve a sharp blade into the creature's underbelly, slicing the animal's far more tender flesh. The very warmth of the creature's blood cascaded down his arm and yet, none of it mattered now as the rhino screamed in pain and Alexander, in turn, quickly strove to right himself upon the young equine girl's back. The Dark Hunter's blue-green gaze briefly met the equine's concerned eyes, as if to reassure her that he was entirely
fine. Her own pace quickly slowed on the wet road and yet, it was the crunching sound of metal that gained Alexander's attention as the rhino stumbled into a parked car, leaving a trail of blood in his wake.
He watched with ready indifference as the beast twitched ever so slightly, otherwise remaining still upon the ground beyond the ragged rise and fall of his sides. Those sounds that left the creature's lips were wholly ignored by the Dark Hunter. Though a singular touch would give him a glimpse within the Rhino's mind and turned those terrible cries into actual audible words, Alexander had no intention of utilizing his own affinity in such a fashion. He had heard it all before, after all, those howls for vengeance, for a love lost, for battles not won. What did it matter, in the end? Only the strongest survived in this world. The rhino had needlessly attacked him and, in turn, Alexander had performed his very
duty. He was silent and stoic as Calliel closed the distance between themselves and the fallen creature though, truthfully, Alexander hardly waited long before he slid off the young woman's back. His hand reached out, that spear once again materializing in his grasp as he positioned himself upon the creature's wounded side. That blood pooled around his wet boots and yet, all traces of tonight's battle would be gone by the morning, besides Alexander's cafe. His own thoughts easily drifted to what would need to be done to mend the establishment as he positioned himself at the rhino's belly, his spear positioned to pierce that very wound he'd created before. The sharpened point tore through the creature's internal organs and into his massive heart. The very rupturing of which, though hardly quite the quickest death he wished to offer the animal, near guaranteed the lethal creature's end. The spear's end twisted, the Dark Hunter's blue-green eyes settled on the beast as the animal shuddered before that glimpse of life seemed to fade from the rhino's darkly colored gaze. His spear all but seemed to disappear, leaving Alexander's hands empty save the blood that now coated them. A soft sigh left his lips as he stepped back to look down at the beast. "I'll call the council to clean this up....." He informed Calliel, only for his gaze to shift back towards his now ruined building. Tonight did not go as he had planned at all. "Thank you, for your assistance, Calliel."
