East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
In truth, Serafina had thought the gentleman that had come in the day prior with his expensive request and his desire for her company would disappear into evening from which he had come from. It was perhaps that which caused the girl to be so bold at the end of their last encounter - the knowledge that surely they would never meet again. She had slept well the previous night and awoken in a peculiarly good mood the morning after - returning to the shop as she always did to stock the shelves and man the counter. It wasn't the most exciting life that the young woman lived but it was far better then what her world could have been had her mentor not intervened all those years ago. Her grey tinged gaze traced over the large glass jars in front of her, her feet shifting on the stool she stood on as she reached upwards to grasp a jar filled of dry lavender. The sound of the bell hanging over the front door dinged through the rest of the shop but Serafina ignored it's existence entirely - focused instead upon her task at hand until the sound of a familiar baritone voice caused her to pivot in place, nearly dropping her glass container in the process.

"Jesus Christ." The exclamation of surprised left her lips unbidden, whatever comment of startling her she'd been moments from voicing died upon her lips, however, at the site of the man in front of her. For a moment the young witch froze, merely taking in the sight before her. He was a mess, of that she was certain of and she could only guess of what had happened to him. "I told you so." She spoke plainly after a moment, turning with a soft sigh to place her lavender back upon the shelf she had fetched it from. Slowly but surely she started fetching the herbs she would need to bring the man some sort of relief, knowing by heart which would do what. "Let's see....limp...bruises...possible broken arm?....did I miss anything?" She inquired briefly, her gaze still darting over the different herbs as she slowly climbed off her stool and down to the ground beneath them. "Come on, I don't want you scaring off my customers." She muttered, gesturing towards the work shop in the back that she had retreated too the first time they had met. It seemed funny that whenever they ran into each other something drastic seemed to be happening.

It was only once she herded him into the back room with her arms full of herbs did the girl actually turn her attention back to him, her bottles sprawled out upon her work bench, ready for her craft to begin. She leaned against the comforting wooden desk, her arms crossed beneath her breasts as she studied him for a moment. "Strip." Her command held a rare glimpse of authority but if she was going to manage to put him back together, she'd have to see exactly what the vampire had done.
