East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

There was no denying the Were-King's decided interest in both The Bakery and the peculiarly quiet woman who ran it. Her story, after all, had intrigued him, prompting his own involvement within Taliah's quest to find her sibling and avoid those men who had so feverishly hunted for her. Although he hardly saw any harm in introducing the lupine woman to Taliah, he certainly didn't anticipate for Raven alone to coax the bakery owner to their tight-knit pack. After all, he'd hardly even put forth the offer in the first place. Such thoughts, however, were presently pushed from the forefront of his mind as he plucked his leather jacket from the back of his office chair. The material was pulled over his broad shoulders as the Alpha led the way down the corridor and down towards the garage. His vibrant emerald irises fluttered towards Raven beside him as the young woman inquired after the man's suspicions for the cold-blooded creature that rested beneath Taliah's caramel skin. A small hint of a simper tugged at the corner of Tetradore's features as Raven stuck out her tongue, wiggling it in that fashion that even he had seen before on those few reptiles that had so visited the Ark. His head shook ever so slightly, however. "No, she doesn't. She said she was from the Amazon. She's definitely not a jag, I would have picked up on that instantly. She could be a croc of some kind but...." His voice trailed off before Tetradore shook his head, the man entirely incapable of explaining that gut feeling and yet, so many of their kind displayed a hint of their animalistic tendencies even in their mortal skin. There was just....something about the way she watched him.

That mystery, however, was one surely left for another day as the pair stepped into the garage, that keyfob within his hand pressed, causing the headlights of that black and red car to flicker to life. Tetradore moved easily around to the driver's seat, the man pulling open the gullwing doors only to fall into the leather seat. He obliged to her soft request to put down the window, his finger easily pressing that automatic button before he flicked on the heated seats. Though the winter chill clearly didn't bother Raven, Tetradore himself was hardly fond of it in the slightest and yet, for her he was willing to put up with the coldness that so nipped at his cheeks as he coaxed that car out of the garage and into the busy streets of Sacrosanct. Tetradore was hardly inclined to hold back on that speed, that sports car easily weaving in and out of those lanes as the pair so pushed the limits of what was considered 'acceptable' speeds within the city's boundaries. It hardly took them very long to get to the post office, the Alpha easily finding a parking spot in front of the post office. Tetradore slipped out of the vehicle, eternally mindful of those doors as he stepped out into the slushy streets of Sacrosanct. It was only once those doors closed that the Were-King locked the vehicle, that alarm beeping behind him as they trudged up the icy steps of the post office.

He held open the door for the young woman, letting her slip in front of him before they joined the rather short line. They hardly had to wait long before that manilla envelope was stamped, addressed, and sent off. Soon enough, the pair were standing upon the steps of the post office, the Bakery, thankfully, located just across the street. Tetradore was more than content to lead the way, entirely oblivious of those inquiries that lingered upon the young woman's mind. Rather, it was the very idea of the warmth of that building that so heavily lingered upon his thoughts as the pair strode into The Bakery. The very scent of the baked goods was entirely delectable, his own gaze quickly skirting over the glass case and the sweets within. His attention shifted only briefly and Raven's inquiry, and yet, that look upon his features was almost guilty. "She has some Devil's Food Cake cupcakes.....and...chocolate chip cookies." His preference for those treats was well known, almost stereotypical for the Were-King and yet he hardly had any regrets for so indulging in that chocolate on the rare occasion.
