The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He too once thought that he and Sterling could get through anything. Sterling had helped him get out of his drug habit. He gave him a place to stay when no one else would. When they both lost their memories, they had fallen in love all over again. They relationship seemed as though they were destined to be with one another from the beginning. Their love got them through Sterling's mauling (even if it took a long time). So why now did their love fail him? Raven knew why. Raven said it was because he slept with Malia. She had told him that he needed to tell Sterling. He had taken her advice and it seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back. When Henry through their love could get through that, it had failed him.
He heard Malia's words, wishing that they could be true. He sighed. She didn't understand relationships. She had never been in one like the relationship he had with Sterling. All she knew was the relationship they had and that was not the best example. He sighed, he couldn't blame her. "Malia, I broke his trust. I hurt him pretty badly even if my intention was only to be honest with him." He had hoped his honesty and promise to be only his would be enough. He had hoped that Sterling would take his honesty as an olive branch. But that hadn't happened and now he was paying the price. It was a high price to pay, one that would probably bankrupt his emotional tank.
The pain was just too much to take and he couldn't help but burry his face in his hands. He wasn't crying, but sure as hell wanted to. He wanted to cry and scream and punch through the wall. He wanted to do anything necessary to feel better but he knew that nothing would help. Nothing could take away this pain.
But Malia was still there beside him, trying to figure out how she could console her friend. It wasn't her fault that she didn't know how to help him. Hell, he didn't know how to help him. He slowly looked up at her and moved to grab her hand, squeezing it softly. "You're not a bad friend, Malia." He paused a moment, trying to figure out a way to explain to her in terms she might understand. "I don't know if there is a way to fix this. I hurt Sterling in a way that I'm not sure can be fixed." Did he regret sleeping with Malia? Not the first time, at least. At least then he thought Sterling had been dead. But it was the second time that seemed to cause the most pain. But that was something he wasn't going to tell her. She didn't deserve to feel responsible. It wasn't her fault, really. He shouldn't have led her on.
