When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning
Oh! He was downright insufferable! With that smug simper on his features and his cocked brow, as if he was somehow better then her. How she might have liked to see that smile when he was burning in flames from the purification of her own light affinity! Her fist balled at her side before her chin rose ever so slightly in indignation. "I am always polite to those who deserve it." She insisted simply, subduing her own occasionally...aggressive tendencies. Her gaze hardly faltered as the silence hung between the two, only for the vampire to insist the rest of Sacrosanct's 'friendly' residents would be surely equally as inclined to help her. Frankly, Aislinn doubted the capabilities of the city's population. None were quite as helpful to the young woman as the people on the Mongolian plains that she had taken to living with for the last decade or so. It hardly occurred to her that her needs were, perhaps, beyond the help of what any average individual might offer a complete stranger. It was the sudden flicker of the street lights that drew the unicorn's gaze. The muted buzzing of a cell phone only further distracted the woman - the man across from her was clearly...popular if his phone was ringing so much already, not that such acclaim changed anything.
Rather, it was that swoop of his arm that drew her lips together in a hard line and yet, Aislinn was in no place to deny the offer. "Fine." She muttered simply as she stepped forward and at his side. The young woman hardly made an effort to match his longer gait, her chunky heels setting a pace she forced him to match as they meandered down the street. Aislinn was inclined to keep her silence, her astute gaze continuing to scan the streets. She still struggled to find her place amongst the tall buildings of downtown. The open plains and deep forests were her home, not this crowded labyrinth of concrete. The bright blue of her eyes shifted to the man at her side as he spoke, only to inquire after her presence within the metropolis. It hardly passed Aislinn's notice how very...highly he regarded this city of his, though she wasn't yet sure she shared the same opinion. Not that it terribly mattered at the present moment. "I am looking for someone." Aislinn answered, hardly making an effort to conceal the truth from him. After all, Aislinn herself was a far greater value to his kind then the man she was looking for - not that he seemed to notice that.
Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is torn
Look and see her how she sparkles
it's the last unicorn
