East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She hadn't seen as much of her pack mates as she would have liked to lately. Alexis spent her days in the cafe and her nights running in the woods. She tried to carve out time for dates with Alexander and time with Raven and the baby but it was never enough to satisfy her. The WereFox vowed to try harder to reach out to her friends and family, starting now. Of course, the rain was a welcome distraction from all the chaos, but she wasn't paying attention. That's why when the sudden screech hit her ears, she turned her head just as she heard someone yell something. Her instincts kicked in and the woman threw her arms up, bringing up an invisible barrier that stopped the car mere inches from hitting her. It crushed the front end of the car and the man inside slammed into his airbag as the vehicle came into a stop. Alexis was trembling by the time she lowered her arms and looked around, but people were already starting to stare, wondering what happened.

Her eyes darted around, looking for an escape, anything. That's when she saw Henry running toward her, her gaze widening in desperation.
