The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Oliver Burton
Chizue's open admittance that with the right kind of coaxing she was willing to leave the apartment she rarely left the confines of. Oliver could not help but wonder what might entice the woman. That line of thinking caused his dark brows to lift, all while his nutmeg hued eyes met her own. "Then perhaps I might try my hand at coaxing." His rich, accented voice was soft, lowered for her ears alone, curious of the woman's reaction that he studied with such rapt focus. All in search for a glimmer of continued interest from her. After all, while he was one to pursue what he wanted, he would not pursue someone that didn't wish to be, even despite the fact that his bear seemed to possess other plans. How strange it was considering that it never really stirred so strongly until meeting her. But Oliver's values and respect for women went far deeper than the urges of his animal, or he was more beast than man. Something he refused to allow get the better of him.
His full attention remained on the woman beside him until her own averted toward the meal that rested upon his lap, the food was still hot as it heated the top of his thighs. Although, it felt odd to be eating while she possessed nothing. Was she not hungry? That admittance that she hadn't eaten for days seemed to strike him as unusual. Something that was clearly written upon his face. Were's tended to have voracious appetites. Especially the carnivores. Perhaps he had become too accustom to his own needs. After all, he rarely was given the opportunity to care for the needs of another. The offer to share his food was quickly shot down. Claiming that was not the type of food she preferred before she further went on to explain that the richness of this food was something she had never come accustomed to. "Ah, I see." He considered those very words that caused a pinch of his brow.
Yet Oliver refused to have a chosen woman within his company to go without. That simply would not do. That and perhaps he was curious of her own preferences. That offer that if she could have anything that he would ensure it. How little she seemed to know how serious he was in achieving it. This seemed to be met with pause as it appeared she truly considered those words before a certain level of excitement as she announced what she was craving. Finally an answer. This, he could work with. Give him a solution to a problem and he would fix it without question. Although, he was almost too pleased to hear that she had chosen fish. This was his favoured meal after all, although he could not fathom why it seemed to matter. "Good choice." He rumbled in appreciation. It was then Oliver slipped his phone from the pocket.
"Excuse me for my rudeness, Chizue, I need to place a quick call." He turned away slightly, his demeanour shifting into that businesslike manner. That contrast was clear, the businessman was almost brusque on the line, matter of fact, to the point without any flowery prose. He knew exactly the place that would cater to his needs. One where he knew the owner. They would have no problem procuring the food. The details of how that meal would get to them was promptly sorted, even despite the confusion of their location that he heard from the other woman's voice.
The call itself hardly took more than a few minutes with the obvious appeal that money could in fact buy nearly anything if you possessed enough of it.
Oliver leaned slightly to make it easier to slide his phone back into his pocket. "I have it sorted. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long." The British man informed her, the lilt of his accent forever laced within his words, no matter how long he remained in America.
Oliver decided on a couple of bites to stave off his own hunger, it would have to do until their meal arrived, despite how good this one tasted. A perfect lunch for the following day, even though his stomach seemed determined to protest in the mean time. Surely Chizue would not show much offense if he didn't eat the rest of it tonight. After all, the promise of fish sounded far more appealing to the man. It always had.
Chizue's attention then diverted again toward a group of teenage girls, those girl that Oliver had barely noticed at all. It was only until the woman he was with leaned in to inform him that they were here for him. Him? Without taking that final bite, he simply paused and closed up the take out container. It was then that he finally realized that she was teasing him. Mr. Sacrosanct's most eligible bachelor. Of course, he should have known. He had to admit that not many individuals ever sought to tease him. A threat of a smile twitched upon his mouth before he turned to look at those girls that seemed to linger close by. Incidentally, he caught the eye of one who accidentally made eye contact with him, only to look away so fast. Murmuring to her friends. He slipped the takeout container to the empty space next to him before leaning into his company. That admittance that he hoped they were not here for him, especially not when he was enjoying his present company. There was nothing subtle about those words. He knew it. Especially as it seemed to snag her attention back onto him. She seemed almost surprised by his words until a smile began to draw across her lips. All before she feigned concern that those girls would surely hate her now. "Teenage hatred... absolutely terrifying. Although, you haven't even given them proper reason to hate you." Oliver offered smoothly, casually reaching his arm to rest on the bench behind Chizue as if he would clearly shield her from any of that misplaced pretend 'hatred'. As if some excuse to draw closer to her. "But I am more than capable of keeping you safe from a few teenage girls." There was no shortage of assurance within his voice, even though he found a level of humour in the situation.
If only he could earn the attention she afforded those girls onto him. How strange that he had to compete in this way. The Were never had to compete for one's attention in his entire life. After all, his presence seemed to demand it. "What would you suggest we do?" Oliver queried, if she wished to tease... then he would be more than happy to oblige to keep up that facade. "After all, this isn't exactly my expertise."
