East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we all fall down like toy soldiers

He'd commandeered a new vehicle for the evening. Some little Volvo that would fetch a pretty penny if he stripped it and remodeled it to his specifications. Maybe he'd even keep it, thought it was a bit small. It suit his needs tonight, it was black and sleek, still brand new, he'd ditched the plates careful with where he drove it and it was in moments that he was cruising down the street where the ad had said. It wasn't like him to even read the newspaper much less even glance at ads, but he had found himself doing just that.

He'd wanted to try and get on his own two feet if only to have some form of income for himself. He could just bum off his brother for the rest of his life but he was pretty sure Dav would get sick of him at some point. Or maybe not. While others were searching for their independence, he was coming back from his, content to shift back into his brotherly role and content with the knowledge that he was needed and wanted. Others weren't so lucky he was sure. Too much of today was spent trying to seek independence, to stand one ones own two feet, but he felt the need to lean on his siblings, taking help or giving it wherever it was needed.

He pulls up outside the building, it was brick and sturdy and in a nice location where it would bring in a lot of business. He parked the car with barely a thought, the metal purring around him before unfolding himself and walking inside. He was dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a white t-shirt under his black hoodie the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, timberland boots upon his feet with their characteristic grease stains.

He walked in in time to hear her speak and he couldn't help but comment, "Generally you start speaking to yourself after opening day." He says, walking further in and closer to her. His grey eyes were open and teasing. "Can I help you with that?" He asks, nodding towards the box holding the glasses.

"I'm Finley, by the way, Finley Dorian; I saw your ad about needing a bartender."
