i used to rule the world
seas would rise when i gave the word
The cafe was particularly busy this aternoon, the cold weather was always particularly good for his buisness, drawing in customers off the street that never before stepped in to fulfil their yearning for a hot beverage. It was the one particularly good thing about the winter season. There was a bustle of activity around him - the line flowing steadily, the sound of bubbling coffee and steaming milk filling the space.
"Alex! Can you take care of this?" A voice called out to him a one of his baristas gestured to the trash. "Yeah, take care of the register?" He inquired, switching spots with the young girl as he wrestled with the trash bag, pulling the bag of empty milk cartons and wrapped from the receptical. He tied the bag together, moving around the bar with the trash bag in his hand. He stepped outside the front of the cafe, his blue-green gaze sweeping around the front of his store. Alexnader paused at the sight of a figure that, he was quite certain, didn't belong. Immediately his gaze noted her blood splattered clothing and disheveled hair, he caught the way in which she peered into his cafe with an obvious want and yet, the Dark Hunter did absolutely nothing about it. At least, not at first.
Instead he maneuvered around the building towards the side alleyway, depositing the bag he held into the dumpster. He made his way back around the front of the cafe, the sight of the young woman still lingering upon the forefront of his mind. He rounded the corner, pausing to note the woman still there. For a bring moment he lingered, leaning on the corner of the building he owned. It hardly took long for Alexander to note the woman was were, after all it was a key part to being a hunter - being able to detect his prey. Fortunately, his own desire to hunt had long sense left him with the rare exception of those that went out of their way to harm others. It was those beings even he still took joy in killing. Still - she did not seem like one who had just committed murder. Instead there was something almost innocent about her that seemed to suggest she was more victim then instigator.
There was a soft sigh upon the Dark Hunters lips as he stepped towards her, pausing at her side.
"Hungry?" He inquired softly, his blue-green gaze falling intently upon the young female. He could only guess such desire was the reason she stared so longingly within the windows. If there was anything Alexander was, it was resourceful. He was charismatic enough that he knew how to work with other individuals. Asking her outright what had occurred to her might not deliver him an answer but coaxing her with food and warm beverages might.
