i dont wanna be your vessel anymoreIt was a warm sunny day with only a slight breeze, birds singing their cheerful little spring songs overhead. The grass was finally beginning to grow, only a matter of time before homeowners were muttering under their breath as they traded shovels for mowers. Ah yes, spring, what a lovely time of the year!
Too fucking bad it wasn't here yet.
Blake huffed, popping his coat collar up to try to cover his ears more. It was cold, again, and still winter, clouds rolling around overhead. He kicked a pebble, watching it bounce away from him then ricochet into the street off a light post, the unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth flicking upward as he smiled around it in wry amusement. The cigarette dropped down as the smile disappeared quick as it came, Blake tugging the front of his knit cap down a bit further. He had chosen to go explore this evening, bored with being locked in his house. The longer he stayed locked up, the more he wanted to smoke just so he would have something to occupy his hands.
He stopped in front of a restaurant/bar- guess it was officially a 'pub' as stated on the banner- mused over the idea of it, then plucked the cigarette from his mouth and tucked it behind his ear before drifting inside the place. It was much warmer inside, Blake quickly shedding his heavy coat, before taking a stool up at the bar's counter, dropping his coat on the seat beside him.
Blake slipped his phone from his pocket, glancing over a few emails and messages, before he set it aside since there was nothing of interest on it. His eyes roamed over the pub, admiring the decor and making a quiet note it was probably going to be closer to the top of his affordability bar, something he was going to need to check his cards when he got home. He needed to do that anyway, but after this place, most certainly. Maybe the prices would pleasantly surprise him though. Damn, he should just pick up more hours at his current job, even if he didn't care for it.
"Just a water for now, please."
