East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

It was perhaps unsurprising to the Macedonian man that his patience eventually won out. What did astonish him, however, was how quickly the ivory steed seemed to learn that his lesson that utilizing his teeth to guide the Dark Hunter was going to become entirely ineffective. His blue-green gaze shifted ever so slightly to the side to note the equine that stood at his side, his hooves still echoing against the stoned-laid sidewalks they trailed down. Alexander didn't expect the sharp swerve to the side, his step pausing entirely as his observant eyes fell upon the dirt path the extravagant stallion stood over. His lips pressed together in the smallest display of cautious disapproval. His eyes met the steadfast amethyst eyes of the creature before him, the pointed look altogether met with an equally as penetrating of a look that seemed to suggest the horse was all together ridiculous for making him walk through the city and now through that. He watched the ivory coat disappear into the undergrowth and for a brief moment Alexander stood there with a sigh on his lips. He rolled those blue-green eyes, a mumble upon his lips as he stepped into the foliage.

The cursing under his breath only increased as the miles of undergrowth continued, discouraged and annoyed by this ridiculous charade he found himself engaging in. He had considered more then once to simply return to the cafe in which he treasured so much â€" surely no stallion was worth whatever...this was. When eventually he stepped out of the foliage the Dark Hunter paused beside the steed to silently let his calculating gaze sweep over the clearly that lay in front of him. The sound of hooves caused his head to tilt ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly as he eyed the pair that stepped out in front of him. He eyed the man leaning against the stocky Shire, noting just as much the fashion at which Frost's own ears laced with the clear agitation at the man's presence. He met the puzzled look he was given with a rather apathetic one of his own, his features hardly betraying his own thoughts on the situation he found himself in. Never the less, the Macedonian King politely providing his own hand, his grip firm despite Robin's perhaps overenthusiastic shaking. "Pleasure." It was all he had to offer at the given moment, letting the fellow before him continue on with his introductions.

His eyebrow raised ever so slightly as he listened to Robin continue on, a fleeting glimpse of surprise crossing his features at the mention of their numbers. Thirty-Seven was quite a large band of hunters - more so then Alexander had seen gathered together in quite sometime. Surely Alexander had heard stories of his kind banding together, roaming the hillside to slaughter all that came within their reach. The templars certainly came to mind and look how well that had ended. As it was, however, Robin seemed vastly more interested in his ability to ride the stallion beside him. The fact that Alexander had yet to find himself on the creature's back was...well, another matter entirely. He allowed the stallion to reply for them both, his blue-green gaze quickly soaking up the interaction between the two. If there was any one gift his creation had provided him, it was the uncanny ability to learn and understand that which he should not. The simple process of watching their conversation somehow giving him the smallest glimpse of insight on how such communication was possible to begin with. It was this facet which interested him - vastly more then the words being said and yet, a part of the Dark Hunter was disappointed by how quickly it came to an end, finding himself once again under the watchful eyes of a chatty Robin.

"Sounds like he was quite your troubled child." Alexander responded, his sea-colored eyes shifting towards the ivory steed that towered over him. Frost, as he was so aptly named, reminded him quite a bit of another stallion he used to know, one that Alexander had treasured quite dearly. The notion of meeting the rest of their group cause a small shrug to cross his masculine shoulders, "I suppose." He commented. Alexander surely had connections with the council but more then often of late he had simply chosen not to engage in their activities. He watched as the man moved back towards his horse, pulling himself back upon the creatures spine with a little help from the Shire himself. The gesture caused Alexander's head to cock to the side, his gaze slowly shifting to fall upon Frost as Robin took his departure. "I don't think you're ever going to be that helpful, are you?" He commented, his tone quite clearly laced with a measure of sarcasm. He watched as Frost stepped away from him, clearly intending to follow the mounted Dark Hunter. A soft sigh left his lips, the man's head shaking ever so slightly as he trailed after the group. "Why the fuck am I even here?" He grumbled, his arms folding over his chest. It was quite clear to him that Frost prided himself on being untamable, which made the question on why he'd been dragged along in the first place all the more inquisitive.
