East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

What Sorcha truly needed above all things at the moment was a nice meal. Often times she found herself craving home cooked meals from her childhood and although she enjoyed making her potions and brews she hated cooking. It was done only because it was absolutely necessary but she couldn't help splurging when she really wanted it. Thus why she finds herself walking down the eastside side-walks in her favorite faded jeans and a fitted black t-shirt with a kitten stamped on it. A sudden gust lifts her raven hair up, mussing it so that her natural curls seem to intertwine and move of their own accord. It was a pain in the ass to focus on it after showers when there were other things she could be doing, for Sorcha was a driven individual, so today she had decided to simply yank a brush through it and let whatever happen happen. Besides, judging by the broiling clouds above, it would rain soon anyways and what was the need for pretty hair then? Let it fly, she thinks, mossy eyes latching onto the building of Red on the Water.

It reminded her of her homeland of Scotland, the roots of her ancestry extending far back into the green country, and she enjoyed the Celtic feel of it. Not to mention the food was a damn sight better than anything she had managed to cook up. Her stomach growls at that, it's own fierce predator, and she practically beams when an older gentleman waits with the door open for her to pass.

Sorcha finds herself relaxing the moment she enters the atmosphere of the establishment with it's laid back patrons and the smell of hot food on a grill. The music of the place is jaunty yet she almost wishes she were in a forest with pipes, a fiddle, or a fluet. Although her powers mainly manifested in her healing ability she felt a kinship to the earth, preferring it's raw strength above that of other elements for the earth endured despite all. It would never be blown out or dried up - it would always exist and persist, parched or soaked. It was resilient and she liked to think of herself that way.

It seemed that many of the booths and tables had been taken for it was fast becoming dinner rush for the tavern and wanting to avoid taking up a booth by herself she turns towards the bar, noting an empty seat beside a blond haired male. He was broad - that much she noted quickly, in much the same way as many of the Scottish men were. Brawny, her mother had always said, and she smiles to herself as she slides into the seat next to him. "Let me guess, you are of Scottish lineage as well," she says suddenly, her voice startling smooth and lovely as she looks at him in an attempt to make conversation, her demeanor calm and collected. Well, wasn't dinner always better with company?
