The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Dark Hunter Department

The City of Sacrosanct's Dark Hunter Department's primary concern is the safety of all of Sacrosanct's residences. Their public safety responsibilities include code enforcement and supernatural crime prevention. The Sacrosanct Dark Hunter's Department follows the directions of the International Dark Hunter Council and serves as a local point of contact for any Dark Hunters working within the Council's ranks.

Inner Sanctum

The Inner Sanctum is an independently's owned specialty coffee company and cafe with a singular focus: quality. With Each Step I Take...

Trust wasn't something I gave out naturally, nor easily; even while sleeping though I didn't let my guard down, not even if I was in back in my own bed. Of course I had known that sleeping on the streets wasn't the safest thing to do, especially after the night I had; but my choices were limited, I couldn't afford to be picky. Really I didn't even have a rough idea of where to start looking for a job, so I knew once I woke I'd have a long day ahead of me; and my mind wasn't the sharpest when sleep deprived, I probably would have said something I shouldn't have if I had kept going all day looking for a job without at least a few hours of shut eye. Mildly aware of the sound of a door closing followed by a familiar feel of a nearby supernatural, I tried to ignore it and just remain asleep. Maybe if I didn't disturb them they wouldn't disturb me, despite what some may think I was rather comfortable in my corner; and had no intention of moving unless I had to. Whatever hopes I had for him to just turn and walk away were dashed at the sound of him softly coming closer, still I remained relax my hand was already rest on my knife just like it had been the entire time I had slept. Unwillingly I opened my eyes at the gentle bump against the bottom of my shoe, letting a groan rumble in my chest to express my discontent. If I had felt this gesture to be aggressive I may have just attacked right off the bat, more than likely swinging my leg in an attempt to knock out his feet from beneath him; but that wasn't the case, if anything there was caution in his movements, therefore I saw no reason to act in such a way. "You know, not everyone you meet on the street enjoys being woken up, guess you're lucky that I'm not in the mood to pick a fight." I said raising my head so that my green gaze could rest on his face. "So, what kind are you?" It was a vague question to be sure, a normal human might not know what I was asking; but I was sure that if he indeed part of the supernatural community that dwelled within this city he'd know how to answer. The man's face was hard for me to read, not that I was particularly skilled in that category any way, with how many fist fights I used to get into. It really was too bad that the days I that could just pick a fight with pretty much any person on the street and the worse I thought I would get was a few bruises, for maybe a cut or two if they decided to pull a knife; but if anything the welcoming party was proof that those days were over. That I had to be more aware of who I pick fights with. Once I knew what he was, I might be willing to answer any questions he may have for me.
