East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

In truth, Tetradore had no real notion of the conditions in which the young woman worked. He knew little of how much she got along or didn't get a long with her coworkers on the situation in which she had with his sibling. He had never bothered to ask Nadya herself. After all, it was her business and Tetradore knew very well to stay out. She needed something to excel in, something to call her own. It kept her reckless, dominant demeanor in check within the working of the pack. She had calmed, and that alone was good enough for the man to keep to himself on such matters. Had he know, perhaps he would have taken more of an investment in teaching the young woman the ropes of being a supernatural. He nodded at the sound of her voice, "They will be able to explain it better, I think." He spoke softly in agreement. He paused, just long enough for his eyebrows to knit together in thought, "How...are you liking it there?" The man inquired at last, as if the idea had only just occurred to him.

His feelings however, were another matter entirely, one that brought him quite nearly to a halt with a hint of suspicion. After Risque's invariable control of his feline, anything that could invade those few things that made up him tended to be met not only with distrust and distaste. Logically, the were-creature knew too well that she was entirely different from the vampire that had once claimed him as her pet. But even so, some fears lied too deep even for him to ignore. His emerald eyes stared at her with an unwavering intensity, one that waited for the girl's explanation, whatever it might be. He watched her cheeks turn that same bright pink hue that they had before when he had first stepped into her kitchen with nothing but a towel around his waist. This time, however, he lacked that simple bemused measure as before, entirely indifferent to what such a blush might mean.

For the moment, the man ignored the fears that she too held, fears that he had brought to life with such realistic detail to haunt even the canvases of her dreams. Guilt that had once been there had been replaced with a poised callousness, a coldness upon his soul as if the warmth he'd once had since had been clutched with icy hands. He watched the way her shoulder's shrugged, her voice soft and sweet as she begun to explain the power that her death had cursed her with. Slowly, Tetradore leaned back, his eyebrows furrowed in momentary thought. "Have you noticed a difference?" He started, letting the conversation freely shift back to a topic that he deemed far safer then those of her nightmares. "In the way certain emotions taste for certain species? Do my sister and I taste more vibrant then, say, a vampire?" Tetradore was, in some regards, preferring to offer assistance then face the reality of what he had wracked upon her, instead pushing this information of her greatest fear somewhere far back into his mind in some vein effort to forget it all together.
