East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

In truth, the Dark Hunter had enjoyed his day settled on the park bench with the young were settled closely next to him far more then he would admit out loud. In recent years, Alexander had lost that hunter ingrained belief that the supernatural races were beneath him. He had lost that blood thirsty craving to decimate the entirety of their collective races, and yet, even so, Alexander still found it...peculiar that he should find his thoughts lingering upon the young were female. At least, that was until the crowd at the cafe became particularly overwhelming. It was easy to get lost in the mundaneness of the job, of writing down orders and pouring cup after cup of coffee, tea, and chocolate delights. It was easy to become complacent, easy to watch the days fade into one another until the were just a blur of endlessness. That was, until the young woman cautiously crossed his threshold. Innately, somehow, he seemed aware of her presence within the cafe, glancing up the moment that she had stepped in only to greet her with a certain friendliness that even his customers failed to coax within him. His blue-green gaze was steadfast upon the girl's simper, all too aware of the tenacity that laced her soul.

"You're going to be okay." He reminded her, his baritone voice a soft whisper within the young woman's ear as if to reassure her that whatever difficulties lie ahead of her today, he would be there at her side. The man was used to leading solders to victory. He was used to performing rousing speeches to win wars. At the very least he was fairly certain he could help her survive today - and, with a little luck, perhaps she'd even enjoy the world he had built for himself. He handed her the permanent marker within his hand, gesturing to the spot next to him where a large collection of cups were stacked upside down next to him. "For the to go ones you're just going to write down their order on the cup and then give it to Sandra over there." He nodded towards the barista busy at the espresso machine. "For the orders they're going to drink here we give them to her with the receipt. You'll have to take those drinks to the customer's that ordered them. That's not too bad, right?" He inquired, his sea colored gaze landing on the petite female beside him, entirely content to ignore the customer in front of him all together. In truth, customer satisfaction had never been one of his best points and Alexis was far more alluring to the man then the aggravated woman in front of him or the line that had formed behind her.

"You can shorten things as much as you want, like 'Frappacino' can just be 'Frap'. Sandra will figure it out. If you get overwhelmed with them let me know." He handed her a single cup, the one with the rather betwixt woman's order on it. "See?" He inquired, making sure she understood everything she might need to know for this one aspect. After all, he had to get her familiar with the drinks before he started her on anything else and this seemed as good of place as any. "Do you have any questions?" Alexander asked at last, taking the credit card from the woman as he did so.
