East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

long live the pioneers
rebels and mutineers

It's a fun and dangerous game, playing with fire; alternating between being the supple, willing vixen before cooling her heels and putting a bit of space between them. It would be so easy to give into their dance of soft words and the wonton brush of skin against skin. She didn't doubt in the least that she would thoroughly enjoy any time spent with him in a more private manner. The flashes of what could be flash in the back of her mind, long limbs tangled in soft sheets so vivid she hear them... and why not? She had taken advantage of many a man before, though to be honest not many of her encounters actually ended with her...satisfying her victim. Though in fact that is the very point that brings her to almost abruptly, though still skillfully pull away from him so slightly, he is no man.

She can almost sense the slight disappointment he feels, though she misses the flash of it across his chiseled features, but she was not afraid of scaring him off. No, some kind of electric connection had formed between them, the air so very charged as he shifted to follow her gaze. With her senses so heightened by their previous exchange she found herself highly aware of her companion's movements, the placement of his body, hands, the way his muscles rippled beneath his skin as he moved; it made her skin tingle. Despite having moved back to give herself some distance she still found herself rather engrossed in him. He had, however, taken the bait and she lets her large, hazel eyes flick to his face for another brief moment as he looks out over the crowd. Naturally he is just as eye catching in profile which brings a smirk to her glossed lips.

As he begins to speak she turns back, following the point of his finger to the woman he indicated. She was tall, graceful, and imposing to be sure, flame red hair and contrasting flawless skin wearing something that would no doubt have taken her years to afford. She let out a small breathy laugh, overwhelmed a bit by the impressive female specimen that socialized so freely with many of the guests. He continues on and her focus shifts to her business partner who seems to stand simply brooding by the stairs. Her curiosity piques as she can note the tenseness of his body, the clenching of his fists just as the lights above flicker and the music jumps. "Interesting..." she says quietly, though the rest of her thoughts are cut off as her eyes turn upward in confusion, watching until the flickering stops and the music once more fills the room before turning back to look at the man wondering if some way the two were connected.

Sebastian's words pull her away from her musings and have her turning to face him once more, shifting so that just one shoulder leans against the bar. A simper dances on her lips at his question, though perhaps he is right even though she did not intend it. "Well, some of us in Sacrosanct have to take the opportunity for a good time when it comes around." There is a glint of dangerous humor in her hazel eyes as they flick down to the deep v of his silken shirt and the hard skin underneath before returning to meet his own crystalline eyes once more. "I hope you can keep my secret," she whispers conspiratorially, leaning in close to his ear so that no doubt he can feel the warmth of her breath on his neck. There is a magnetism between them that she cannot seem to avoid or deny, despite some of her instincts screaming otherwise. Her bright, hazel eyes are brilliant, surrounded by charcoal liner look up at him, waiting his response with a devilish grin tugging at the corners of her mouth. "And how did you come to be here?" she asked finally, hoping to gain a bit more insight into the man.
