The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sexuality was something I was very fluid with; I liked what I liked and went for what I wanted. If I wanted this new woman, I was still unsure, but she definitely seemed like an interesting person to talk to. It was early though, so my ability to truly start conversation or banter wasn't as on point as it normally was. I would make do with what I had though, and it didn't hurt that I had coffee clutched in my hand as if it was my life's blood. It was typical of me though, because I had a pretty intense caffeine dependency. It was better than being addicted to other things though, so I let myself fulfill it. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't an angel, I've tried quite a few drugs in my life. It happened in the lifestyle I entertained on occasion, but it's not something I needed.
I lifted the cup to my lips and took another sip as I watched the woman fidget in the booth. My brow arched in curiosity and I felt my head tilt the slightest bit as I tried to figure out what was making her so restless. She sat across from me in the same booth I was in, but there were empty ones around. It was interesting really; she seemed too uncomfortable for someone who made herself comfortable just a few moments before. I guess that's what I loved about people though, they were always mysteries to try and solve. It was then she spoke again and offered a name, a nickname, but it was something to call her if need be.
"Interesting name, I like it."
I cleared my throat and leaned back against the booth, my eyes never leaving her. Something about her just drew me in, and I was curious to see what else she was going to do. Besides, she was easy on the eyes, and I could definitely appreciate beauty in sharp lines. I cleared my throat and my fingers drummed on the table before my gaze slid back out the window as she wished the rain away. A small smile touched my lips as I watched a couple raindrops race down the window, leaving small interesting lines in their wake.
"The rain isn't so bad, but it does make riding quite difficult."
I motioned out the window at my motorcycle, I was very proud of it, because it was the first thing I bought on my own. It gave me the freedom that I needed, especially when I needed a break from everyone else's feelings. I slowly let my mind open again as I tried to sense what my companion was feeling. She was hard to read, and once again I got that feeling that she was something other than just a woman. I gripped my coffee again in an attempt to keep my fingers from tapping or twitching, it was harder to focus if I couldn't keep my hands still.
"I am an ass girl, I suppose, but I didn't get to stare long enough at yours to make sure I draw it just right."
I grin playfully again; I was trying to get her to relax a little bit. I didn't need to tap into my power to know she was anxious; her body language did that all on its own. I took another sip of my coffee before leaning forward and grabbing my drawing pad, once again I continued with the detail of her face. I bit down on my lower lip and sucked on it the slightest bit as I drew the shape of her eyes. She had gorgeous eyes, there was so much in them and I was very curious.
"What's your story, Wasp?"
