The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was no real secret that the odd pair didn't care to give out more than the other did. Getting Tobi to take a bath would have been easier...had it not been for Frost's persistent desire to have Nadya in his pack. That desire played well for Nadya and getting Frost to answer her ever prodding questions about his past though it was still to be seen on if it would help her in learning about his present too. Of course Nadya couldn't be surprised when Frost turned the tables and attempted to learn more about her. Nadya allowed herself to divulge the information about their childhood. It was when he questioned about Tobias and the relationship of the wayward leopard in the pack that Nadya became wary.
"Tobi couldn't be a pet any more than you can teach a fish to breathe air. He was my brother's best friend as kids, just showed up one day and our parents took him in. Tobi's just always been there." And if Tobi was in his right mind he'd be a force to be reckoned with. Nadya was under no delusion that on one hand Tobi was a rather powerful Were, though on the other hand his understanding of the world around him hindered him on putting those powers of his to their full use. Nadya rolled her shoulder in a disinterested shrug as her thoughts on the leopard distracted her momentarily until the twins, as they always did, brought her focused on the present once more. Izzy's tossing of her toy interrupted Frost's rather vague explanation about his current position. So he did have followers. Well, at least it told her he wasn't just some lone male wandering around just looking for trouble. "Being together all the time like that sounds like it'd get annoying but if that's what you're in to...living like a fraternity."
The ease with which Frost handled the twins was certainly the beginning of the slippery slope she found herself on. It was hard for any mother to turn away someone who entertained their kid or brought that brilliant joy of recognition to their eyes. Nadya watched with a soft warm smile that touched her eyes as both Izzy and Micah were captivated by the materialized fluttering insects. Nadya listened just as politely to Frost as before, her features giving away nothing as he indulged in the darker side of his upbringing and the Hunter's who controlled him. At the mention of cake she did nod, glancing at the white box sitting on the table. "They should get their cake."
While keeping one arm wrapped around Micah on her lap, Nadya pulled the box over to the edge of the table to open it and reveal the cake inside. The twins' delight at the magical display was now replaced with curiosity on whatever their mother was doing with the new object. Micah grew excited seeing the bunnies on the cake and began to babble Mama, bunbun. "Mhm, bunny, don't touch yet. This is your birthday cake; you and Isabella are one today." Nadya carefully cut a slice of the cake onto a coffee cup saucer and pushed it in Frost's direction. "One piece of unadulterated cake." She laughed slightly, pulling Izzy closer in the stroller so both her and Micah were able to sit in front of the rest of the cake. For a moment they looked confused and wide-eyed between the mound and their mother. "Go ahead, try it, take a bite." Nadya gently encouraged them until Izzy was the first to reach out and experimentally touch her hand to the cake then put her hand in her mouth. Her small eyes widened with the new taste of sugar which made her body jump in surprise and glee before repeating the process of touching her hand to the cake and placing it in her mouth. Of course soon enough, after watching his sister, Micah witnessed that the cake was safe and by his twin's glee forewent the hand test and simply bent down and face planted in it...as if he could eat it whole like a snake to its prey.
Nadya removed her phone from her purse and giggled as she snapped a few pictures and a video of the pair stuffing their face of their very first cake. They would crash hard later from the sugar no doubt. With the twins entertained for as long as they were allowed, Nadya was able to turn back to Frost. It certainly was a nice change of pace to have an adult to talk to. "So you're building an army." From the sound of it, his history, and knowing what Nadya would do if her family was essentially being held captive that's what she would do. "You came here to get numbers so you aren't going back alone." For a brief moment something crossed Nadya's features; something akin to disappointment perhaps at the realization that Frost perhaps didn't intend to stick around in Sacro. Then a smirk twitched the corner of her lips as it was quickly pushed away. "You said children, plural, just how many exactly did you convince your cougar to have? I don't know if I'd be able to keep up with these two if I had had them when I was older." Of course Nadya was only under the impression that the same woman Frost had originally mentioned was also the mother to any other children he had.
