It is a difficult thought, an unusual one. It is fleeting within her mind and difficult for him to grasp all the same and yet there is a distinct confusion in the woman, a nervousness and yet not one caused by his immediate presence. Indeed Frost was moving to act in a deliberately neutral tone, his natural dominance ebbed and concealed beneath this perfect facade of indifference and yet it is that very indifference that so seems to render the girl uncomfortable. She cannot read his emotions and yet the manner in which the thought lingers within her mind like the delicate strands of a spider's web amongst a mass of trees assures him that her ability to perceive his emotions is beyond the norm. A power perhaps and yet one she cannot access, whether simply by fault of his nature or perhaps a side effect of his own near indomitable will power to prevent her seeing such things he cannot say and yet his awareness of such a thing sees the barest taint of a simper ghost smoothly across his lips. What a perfectly amusing little toy she was. Her nervousness however, continued to remain, the glances she made towards the door hardly unnoticed as the scent of fear continued to leak from her pores. Horses, after all, are perhaps superior to near all other animals when it comes to sensing fear of those around them, the man highly attuned to her insecure state, preying upon it a little perhaps and yet she offered a temptation far to great for even his level of practised control. Nadya could hardly be too upset with him as long as he didn't harm her physically. Besides- it is not Nadya his mind is content to think of now, but her brother, the fae girls thoughts lingering upon Aiden as if the were-cat was some sort of grand hero to her mind. A silly, girlish crush.
"Well I wish you luck with it then. As for a message, no, I tend to send my own messages."
The words are offered with the same casual ease as always, the girl surely oblivious to the delicate placement of these coolly offered lyrics, perhaps failing to contemplate the meaning behind them and yet for now he merely affords her another momentary grin- a look that hardly reaches his eyes and yet concealed behind that mop of thick hair his gaze remains elusive all the same. The near dumbfounded look she proceeds to offer him is replaced near moments later by an insecure assurance that Aiden hardly owned anyone and yet that thin line of insecurity within her voice offers him all he needs to know all the same. Aiden, surely, had not bothered to detail the workings of his pack to her, just as he would surely not speak of his own and yet that naivety was such a perfectly exposable flaw, one the stallion is hardly above picking at like a healing wound- if only to make it bleed a little. He allows his shoulders to roll in a shrug of sorts as he leans back against the wall of the bar, a soft chuckle rising from his lips all the same, his words genuinely....pleasant, friendly as he regards her now.
"It's alright, the world of Were's is hard to navigate as it is though let me assure you as someone who knows Aiden and Tobias and Nadya and Raven rather well, Aiden is a little more....dominating then most, there's a reason Nadya and he had lived apart so long. That- and she disagrees with his....extracurricular activities, just be careful is all I'm saying."
His words are delicately placed once more, spoken as if no more than casual conversation and yet each one is offered with distinct meaning- nor are any of his words a lit, if each sentence is deconstructed he has offered no more than subtle truths- they are simply twisted to hold something more of a sinister meaning. The man content to name each member of the Nightshade pack if only to offer further credibility to his words. Equine he may be, yet Frost remained decidedly cunning when he chose to be, his words deliberately vague and yet potent all at once, leaving the girl to question and to chew at her mind. He moves to take her offered hand with ease, a wave of his power rapidly heating his own hand to assure it held a comfortable warmth, a subtle thing and yet one he employs smoothly all the same before offering a look of feigned surprise at her admittance she was dating the man they had only just spoken about. She had merely confirmed then, what he had already believed.
"Ah, you must forgive me then, I did not realise you were involved with Aiden. I hope you are resilient then, the fighting rings can be a little draining."
One eye lifts ever so slightly, deliberately seeking to press upon the edges of what he well suspects might be her power and yet he moves away from it near as quickly as he had moved to press upon it, each word a delicate dance- one the man excels at when he should chose to. After all, he has not survived so long as he has through pure athleticism alone. The man decidedly....dangerous when he should desire something- or to destroy it.
"Either way, it's nice to meet you Samantha. Sam."
He merely repeats her own error back towards her, lip quirking loosely upward in amusement before she laughs out rightly at his next words, his own form easing back against the wall once more with languid ease, a chuckle rising to match her own and her initial tension begins to dissipate. The moment however, is ruined by the sudden appearance of another fae girl, Frost's own gaze narrowing darkly a moment and yet the man moves to correct it near instantly, this momentary flare in his temper concealed quickly and before either woman was given to notice. That neither Fae girl truly appeared comfortable with the other was evidently clear, the employee seeming outwardly annoyed to be forced to treat Sam as her employer while Sam seemed out rightly fearful of the girl- her thoughts a sudden and intense spiral that near forced the man to flinch away from the window into her mind he had seized. The interaction lasted barely several moments, Frost offering a nod of sorts to the girl all the same, her reference to him being 'cute' hardly seeming to provoke a response as he watched her go.
"Your colleges seem- charming."
The tease within his voice is evidently clear, her inner turmoil within her mind equally so, the man moving to lean easily off the wall, moving towards the door the other Fae girl had gone through only moments ago.
"Want to see a trick? Come on."
He has been backstage with Nadya before, Frost ducking easily through the door, leaving Sam to trail after him, else make some attempt to stop him as he expertly makes his way between the girls, the costumes and the noise- stopping abruptly and allowing Sam a moment to catch up with him, lifting one finger loosely to his lips in a gesture for silence. He steps forward once more, bending effortlessly to the ground, brushing his fingers smoothly over it a moment before stepping back to stand beside Sam once more. It takes barely a moment for the Fae woman from before to appear, striding effortlessly around the corner, shouting orders at the others lime a commander of a ship- until her feet hit the place he has touched, the thin layer of frosted ice, so thin it is near invisible sends her shrieking, skidding and tumbling wildly head first into a basket of costumes that explodes around her- leaving her legs and very visible underwear flailing as several other girls rush to attempt to pull her out. The man allowing another soft chuckle to roll from his lips, more then one of the other girls attempting to stifle her laughter. Frosts voice holding a slightly more serious tone now.
"Does she give you a hard time- that girl? Forgive me but I noticed before that her presence....upset you. I have an ability of sorts, for temperature, people's temperatures change with emotions and that girl made you....fearful."
His words were entirely true, though it was not his gift for temperature that had provided him this information, still, it was a simple way to explain it- the man looking almost expectantly towards her.
