There was something intriguing about this so-called James who smiled at her with that easy boyish grin. Yet she still wasn't sure about the angle he was playing at with the very lie he fell into with a seamless ease, so she decided to go along with this little song and dance. The woman with the hair of midnight sky tilts her head an idle strand falling in her face as she did. "I can't say you could disappoint me in the topic of steel death traps, my main interests seem to lie elsewhere." A diminutive yet languid smile, forms upon her lips as she gazed in the direction of those roaring vehicles before falling back to him. Maybe she wouldn't appreciate being within one of those vehicles much; despite the risks she plays on a daily basis, death by explosive car crash did not sound like the way she imagined herself dying. There were some deaths that even vampires would shudder at.
Babe, the odd pet name struck an odd chord within the woman, she had been called many things before but never babe. He seemed to find her words amusing with the fact that she found the very meaning of the word odd as he chuckled at her confusion with the very pet name. She listened curiously as he attempts to feed her a line, her expression almost appearing deadpan despite it secretly feeding her ego. "Cute?" A small almost casual entertained laugh falls from her. "If you say so Romeo." An impish grin forms upon her lips as she muses. She had never been called cute before, there were many words to describe the petite mischievous woman, yes, but certainly not cute.
"Quite the nomadic soul, I see." Most vampires tended to change their roots every now and then to change up the scenery, or they were searching for something they had yet to find. But skating, those memories had been so hazy, stashed somewhere in the years when she was alive. She tried to remember a simpler time when she had ever done something so innocent. "I haven't since.. well, since I was human. I can't imagine I would be any good at it now. But tell me why didn't you go?" So much time had slipped away from her grasp, she hadn't remembered the last time she did something so very human. There were many very mortal activities that she had neglected, the very notion had been lost to her. When her humanity within her withered away there wasn't much she did that wasn't a part of an elaborate rouse or for food. She had fallen into those darker instincts of their kind, becoming what was known as an elusive trickster. Her world as she knew it purely revolved around her illusions, she could play the part of anything or anyone she desired that somewhere along the line what had made her Petra had gotten buried. She could change the very fabric of reality to her will, make anyone she wished to crumble at her feet with the right leverage. It put her on a strange level that those small trivial joys that so many could partake in did not amuse the illusionist. However, with that pesky seed of humanity now harboured deep within her, things have altered If only slightly at first that she hadn't even noticed the difference within her. It was perhaps the very reason she found herself within the dense crowd to enjoy a spectacle and grab a bite without the intricate deceptions. For once she wanted something simple after being defeated by her own game. It was so very much unlike the woman and yet it would be a simple pleasure that would be denied once she found out his motives.
They wandered further from the mingling crowd, the sound of the rambunctious hum faded as they travelled down a lifeless street, dimly lit and far too secluded to be safe for a human. This was the kind of place where the spider weaved her intricate webs, the perfect kind of location for her duplicitous ways. It was odd how not a single soul dared to venture down this dark and narrow road. Not that it bothered the vampires who had impeccable eyesight within the submissive darkness that she moves with that satin gait within. Yet still, her pale porcelain flesh seems to take on an ethereal glow beneath the artificial light. She allowed him to lead her off to satisfy that piqued curiosity that he beckoned, she played along even if she played the part of the lamb to slaughter. He suddenly pivots her to face her, her eyes take on that glowing electric blue hue while her expression remains seemingly stoic as a Greek statue. It was obvious that something was amiss and she would soon have her answers.
He seemed as though he struggled with what was to come, running a frustrated hand through his dark hair as if at odds with the hunger that coursed within him, overpowering his better reason. The hunger took hold and there was no reasoning with him now. Rapidly, her illusions come to her very beckon with only a small flick of her wrist. Just like that she was replaced with an illusion, a mirror image of herself as though she never skipped a beat. A harmless little trick as she conceals herself in a mist of darkness to allow him to reveal his true colours.
Suddenly, the mannerisms and behaviours all made sense, after all, there were some tactics she could recognize in her own self. The vampire was hunting her, she had heard the tales of a vampire's feasting off the blood of their kind but she perhaps thought Malek was on some kind of acid trip when he met those vampires, or simply embellished on a myth he once heard. This was not something shared betwixt the throes of intimate passion, this was his way of life. The huntress was now becoming the hunted.
Just like that, the man disappeared from existence before reappearing behind her catching her off guard. He latches onto her with his arms pulling her into him and her eyes flash deadly. She watches from her concealed spot, watching as he presses up against the illusion of her in an almost intimate way between lovers, but there was nothing tender in that embrace as he was lost to the bloodlust.
How about a little bit of cat and mouse, she muses to herself. Only it wasn't clear who was the cat and who was the mouse? Not that it really mattered.
It was yet to be determined if he could catch up with her to grab hold of his intended snack, which was more like a decadent dessert. As soon as those teeth dare to caress that dainty porcelain neck of her double does she reveal her concealed hand. "You know it is rude to simply take without asking." She chides in tune with the duplicate. Petra appeared as though she simply disintegrates particle by particle within his clutches as though she was like a fist full of sand, a mere illusion to him. A dark chuckle escapes her from further down the empty dark street. "I'm sorry but do you really think I am that easy? I thought you would at least offer me dinner first." That impish lilt dances within her nightingale song. Where was she? That disembodied voice seems to toy with him, beckoning the vampire to play with her like a cat with yarn. If it was a hunt he wanted, it was a hunt he would get. It didn't have to be easy.
The illusionist is suddenly everywhere and there is four of her surrounding him, her full lips grinning wickedly. One peered behind a tree like a forest imp, the other directly behind him and another directly beside the true concealed form of her. She keeps her distance as she watches her magic work. "Catch me if you can little vampire. Perhaps if you do I will allow you a taste." That dark singsong voice could be heard directly from behind him as it came from the illusion. There is a part of her that wonders if this little vampire could catch her at her own game or if he would simply admit his defeat. It exhilarates her this little dangerous game that they played. Yet somehow she had doubted he would allow himself to simply give up in his chase, in fact, she anticipates his response, not entirely sure if it was the hunger or the hunt that would drive him. Let's play little Romeo, it's your move.
