Arlo James
See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
That look of shock, he was sure, was still pretty clear on his face in those moments that followed. Arlo blinking about at that scene of carnage that seemed to have erupted in the wake of Damon's apparent annoyance at everyone present. Arlo attempting to make himself as small as his fix foot frame would actually allow to see if he could blend into those shadows and disappear. This is why he didn't get involved in all this...coven crap. It turned into street wars and territory fights. Maybe he had been the cause of this one but Claire's group looked like it had been ready for a fight all the same. Hell, most of them seemed to have almost forgotten him in the wake of it and he could hardly say he minded it a damn bit. Still- leaving now he supposed would be a bit...cowardly. Not that Arlo had ever minded being taken for a coward. He'd survived this long because he was fast enough to outrun most others and if he wasn't that teleportation generally made it easier. Running away was what he did best. Arlo still seemingly unconvinced or at least utterly unaware of the true extent of his own powers the way Damon had been. Arlo still unable to justify Damon's interest in him at all. Guy probably just didn't want him chewing on his customers, wanted to keep an eye on him an all. Yeah. That was it. Maybe he should help the guy- or in the least- save someone from his wrath.
That spider's web exploded easily from his fingers, swathing Claire in its embrace before that blue current of electricity fired along it, sending the woman twitching and crashing to the ground a second later. That unconsciousness settling over her form. She should be damn grateful he'd gotten to her before Damon. Arlo clearly capable of defending himself and yet, more often than not, the young vampire merely chose to run. Arlo so seemingly not yet having matured into that vampiric dominance that seemed to beset most of their kind. Even despite those legends of the supposed strength of his own kind. He managed that nod in response to Damon's query about trouble finding him. Hell, he could say that again. One hand lifting to rub at the back of his neck in thought before announcing that really, if Isolt and Damon hadn't cut off his food source, he wouldn't have bene out there hunting down other covens. The elder mans assurance it was harder to hunt alone prompting that shrug from Arlo himself.
"I always hunted alone before- it works for me, well, most of the time. Besides- I'd only eat the coven. I know, I know, control- no need for a lecture again."
His lip quirked upward in good nature all the same before that comment on how many their were in this coven seemed to prompt that speech from Isolt. His own blue eyes turned to meet her. The woman somehow managing to look rather stunning in her evening gown despite the mess surrounding her. Although really most of that mess was Damon's fault he supposed. That sudden assurance that Claire was not the leader at all but some guy named Xavier saw Arlo frown slightly. Was Xander the guy he'd attacked last week? Was that why they were so mad at him? Isolt promising the man couldn't be far behind before declaring they needed to head back to the pub. Arlo pivoting on his heel to head the other way and leave that alleyway behind them. No part of the man believing they wanted him to come with them for even a moment. Why would they? Damon's sudden call seeing him pause. His eyes narrowed slightly in wariness. Back to their coven?
"I ain't joining anything if this is what it's about."
He uttered toward the both of them before shifting to follow Damon and Isolt to that car. He was hardly stupid enough to turn down an invitation of company, at least until that danger had passed. Even if he remained wary of them all the same. Arlo settling himself into that backseat. He could go to a pub right? They weren't going to do anything to him. He could trust Damon couldn't he? The space inside that car was notably smaller then that alleyway. Arlo becoming near intensely aware of just how Isolt smelled in those few moments that passed. That saliva already pulling behind his lips. God she smelled appealing. Just like Damon did. That blood still on Damon's clothing from that battle hardly helping in any sense. His gaze dilating slowly before he forced it back in turn. Eyes glancing up at that rear-view memory only to catch Damon damn near glaring at him. Arlo snorting to clear his nose of the scent all the same.
"How does this window open?"
He was going to need air back here or this was going to turn in to another bloodbath. A glorious one. Ah, no. His gaze flicking briefly to Isolt and back again, those contemplations hardly hard to guess at and yet, for now (and through some fear of Damon and his electrical abilities) the young vampire remained in his seat. His words directed at the both of them again.
"Why are we going back to your pub? Whose Xavier? You two scared of him?"
