Although they were planning for a wedding the idea of a honeymoon wasn't something she thought that much about. Tetradore had mentioned to her that they could go anywhere they wanted to for as long as they wanted to. He was being kind, but a part of her felt like he was trying to shove them away. Was it because he felt hurt that she was taking 'away' his best friend? Raven knew that there could be nothing between Tetradore and Tobias, not even she could cause such a rift. Perhaps the man was trying to distance himself seeing that their roguish days were over, encouraging them to leave, so that he may deal with the pain in peace. Tobias asking where she wanted to go caught her off guard at first. The young woman truly thinking they would go wherever he wanted to go. The idea of going to Africa always intrigued her and to hear he was interested in it caused a beaming smile to appear.
Well, it was true. The zoo was one of the first places she went to when she was on her own. The need to be around animals was instinctual. There were no Weres within the city she was at. There were Weres along the outskirts, but she didn't trust herself or them to soothe her need to be around others. The zoo was the best place to curb that need. There she got to see all sorts of animals! Some she knew and some she didn't know at all. After all being stuck within her room with books or being left within a cage for punishment she hardly got to see a whole lot. The leopards she saw at the zoo didn't look exactly like Tobias. Gently she stroked her hair through the top of his head in a petting gesture. Quickly she pressed her lips against his cheek in a playful manner. Perhaps her mate would enjoy running around in Africa and seeing the Leopards and the other animals that lived there. The idea of the honeymoon would have to wait, because those thoughts were disrupted by the need to solve the riddle and go to the circus. To get to the circus they would need a car, and luckily for them, there was a place to rent one. As they made their way Raven noticed that these cars didn't look like the ones at home. They didn't even look like the old Honda she had. These cars looked like the ones in Tetradore's garage, the ones she never drove, the ones that were really expensive. Knowing her mate and the trouble he caused she told him they weren't going to steal, they couldn't, it would be an embarrassment to Dorian. He was so kind to them the last thing she wanted to do was humiliate him with an international incident. It didn't take long for a man to come their way, giving the two of them a grin. Although the grin faltered as soon as Tobias said they weren't going to steal, but before Raven could say not to worry, her mate told them they were going to the circus. Which only caused that grin to reappear on the man's face.
"Ah, the circus? You'll want to show up in style then. Tourists, yes? You want to...how do Americanos say...feel wind in hair? Come, you are in Italy, you must drive an Italian car!"
The man quickly looped his arm around Raven's, guiding her along, as his other hand moved to point out one luxury car after another. Shyly the young woman stuttered as she stared at each car he showed. They all looked so pretty and yet they were all so expensive!
Blue-grey eyes widened as she watched her mate walk towards a sporty looking blue car. Please don't steal she thought, please please don't steal! That was all she could think about as the man led her towards that car. With much grand affair he swung his arm to the side as if to present this vehicle as the vehicle to rent.
"Ah your boy has already chosen one it seems, the Ferrari 488, she is good. Here fill in the information and once everything checks out, you can drive away."
Raven was taken aback when the man pulled a tablet out in front of her. Taking it from him she watched as he began to move towards the car and standing beside her mate, speaking eagerly about how fast the car could go, and whatever else he wished to tell. There was no way she was getting out of this. With a sigh she looked at the screen and began to fill it out, entering all the information she could give. As soon as she was done she walked on over towards him, handing the tablet over. Quietly she stood there hoping that there would be something wrong that would make her unqualified to drive a car like this! Seeing that man with a wide grin on his face it was clear that everything was fine.
"Miss. Clocksworth, everything is in order. You will need to return it in 5 days, be sure to bring it back with a tank full of gas. Now, go, and enjoy the circus!"
He handed her the fob to the key and gently guided her to the driver side of the car, opening the door for her benefit. Sitting down quickly she muttered her thanks as the door was shut. Her eyes would widen as she looked at everything inside. The ebony leather seats, the spotless sleek dashboard, all the different knobs in Italian, how it all lit up as soon as she started the car. A soft purr could be heard as the engine began to run. Hearing her mate get in the car and speak she nodded her head slowly.
Tetradore was the one that drove cars like this. She was nothing but a passenger. There were times when they had a business meeting offsite and he would take her with him. They would never tell Tobias for fear he would be jealous for not going for a car ride. Raven enjoyed it when Tetradore drove them around. She liked going fast, but she also liked feeling the wind rip through her golden-brown curly locks. Quietly Raven began to press the buttons finding 'Inglese' on the screen, she pressed it, finding on the screen the choice for navigation. Taking the flyer from Tobi she put in the address, the car asking if this was her destination. Conforming the destination she hesitantly placed her hand on the steering wheel.
Taking a deep breath she put the car in gear and gently pressed the accelerator hearing the engine roar to life. With a soft eep, she concentrated heavily on the driving making sure they got out of the city. Once they were out she felt a bit more comfortable going a bit faster. Seeing the road sign show she could go much faster, she tentatively pressed on the accelerator a bit harder. Suddenly the car went much faster and before she knew it, she was easily increasing the speed, the young woman finding this quite thrilling, as she followed what the calm voice from the woman guided them to the circus.
