we built this city on broken glass
Nadya, in the very least, seemed to relax at his own presence. His girlfriend settling at his side to slip her arm through his own as they waited. Malia appearing as equally unconcerned by that lack of Henry so far and as such Frost saw little need to assign any more off his thought to it. His own mind far more content to consider that work still to be done with Alexander and those matters of dealing with the Hunter Council in the next few weeks. That sudden, soft greeting from Malia readily saw his own head turn once more. What little could be seen of those strange violet eyes beneath that stark white hair fixated readily on the man that hurried towards them then. This most assuredly the Henry Malia and Tetradore both had mentioned to him. Frost hardly assured just what he had expected and yet it was perhaps not the blonde man that lingered before them now. Malia, perhaps, he could see forming an attraction to such a man and yet this was not quite the sort of being he had envisioned Tetradore might choose for a vector. How intriguing. Henry was quick to attend to Malia first, Frost merely content to watch the pair with an idle curiosity, his features remaining so distinctly expressionless as always. His lack of emotion perhaps near as infamous as that very battle he had engaged Tetradore in all that time ago and one he was sure each person here had been told a different version off.
Henry shifted his attention next to Nadya, his head nodded to the woman before commenting on the pleasure it was to see her again. Frost merely allowing one eye to lift ever so slightly. His gaze shifted to Nadya in turn. Hmm. Again? Nadya had been busy of late it seemed and yet he so hardly made any comment on it. He knew exactly why she had attempted to keep such information from him. Henry's existence a terribly easy thread to tug at if he so desired to inflict any further disdain upon Tetradore and his pack and yet- that very debt had been paid as far as the stallion was concerned. Frost holding terribly little intrigue in plunging that pack into any further chaos. His amusement in that had long since been satisfied. Tetradore and himself having come to an understanding and yet, he suspected, his fellow Alpha had not yet shared all the details of that very 'deal' between them with those he called his own. A conversation for another time perhaps. Frost, tonight, far more curious of this man whom so seemed to ensnare Malia's attention while continuing to enjoy this apparent boyfriend on the side. A decidedly dangerous game to play and yet perhaps Henry played it well. Such things remained to be seen. That hand that was suddenly thrust in his own direction so momentarily prompted his attention, Frost eyeing that outstretched appendage before extending his own to grasp Henry's hand and return that shake. His head nodded in simple conformation off his own name. Those deep, cool words parting his lips a moment later in that simple, efficient manner they so often did.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Henry. I've heard a lot about you- though the sources vary."
That ghost of a simper managed to find his features in that moment, though whether such words were truly a compliment or not remained to be seen. How curious it would be to see which of those sources had been right. Frost released Henry's hand before turning back toward that restaurant Nadya had chosen for the evening, allowing his girlfriend to lead the way inside. A near overly jovial Italian man was quick to greet them, Nadya, it seemed, well acquainted with the fellow who embraced her and showed them to that table. Frost easily taking up that seat beside Nadya and opposite Malia and Henry. The Italian fellow offering them...something for the table before hurrying off. He had been in decidedly....few restaurants within his life. The equine so often discontent is those crowded, small spaces and yet if this was what Nadya preferred for the evening then so be it. He could survive one night. That singular, small vase of flowers within the center of the table so momentarily garnered his attention. Frost glancing briefly sideways toward Nadya and yet the woman's gaze was fixed upon the table making any attempt to reach those flowers without her noticing decidedly difficult. Maybe later. Frost shifted slightly within his seat, one hand lifting to push aside a little of that snow white hair, affording both Malia and Henry the full view of that violet gaze then. His attention resting upon the pair for several moments before that, perhaps, unexpected question fell from his lips.
"How are you adjusting to being a Were so far, Henry? Some handle that change far better then others. Learning to control an animal body is never easy."
He could be almost personable when he tried.
