She was tired. More than tired as she attempts to process the overload of information directed at her. Miya is entirely unaware of the way Dareios is leaning in his seat, the anxiety rolling off him in waves. Miya, as a whole, wasn't a terribly observant person - the only exception was when she was in the confines of the hospital, her clinical process taking over. It's that very thought that has her mind trailing to the possibilities of what vampire blood could do if Dareios were being honest. It must have been written on her face, the Mayor practically answering her unasked question. Her chocolate gaze raises to meet his as he explains quickly about the research being done as they spoke. Her delicate eyebrows arch in surprise but she gobbles up the information, tucking it away so she could examine it when she wasn't practically sleep walking. Plus, she didn't think Dareios would have the information she needed anyways, she was better off to go hunting through the hospital to find the proper researchers to chat with.
Something... she would do later.
Instead, she focuses on the dilemma at hand her brows furrowing as she asks if it would change her into a vampire. The quiet chuckle that leaves the man's lips has Miya blinking at him. "You might need to... explain the process sometimes," she can't help but feel slightly curious. Call it morbid and despite her hesitations she couldn't really help but wanting to know. His last statement has her cocking her head slightly, wondering exactly what these temporary... feelings would be. Though he had explained it, it still didn't make that much sense to her. Sighing in defeat, she clutches the warm porcelain closer to her, simply asking if it were going to hurt her. He's reassurance makes her feel surprisingly settled as he puts a cool hand over her's, carefully avoiding the burn on her hand. She almost wants to urge him to cover the burn but she's far too distracted by the tea in hand.
Shakily, she lifts the cup to her lips to take a long sip. It didn't really taste like anything other than tea and there was no immediate change. Frowning, she sets it down - ready to ask Dareios why it wasn't working until a sudden jolt of energy courses through her veins. Gasping, she flinches backwards, but hardly in fear, as... energy no sunshine floods through veins, curing her exhaustion in a moment. The previous aches and pains were gone and when she glanced down, wide eyed, the splotchy burn on her hand had all but vanished. She felt like she could run a marathon or work another 12 hours without a break. It was intoxicating and potentially addicting, the woman hardly ever finding herself addicted to anything in life and yet... she could easily see herself becoming addicted to this feeling. Is this what drug users chased? This high?
Shuddering, she leans back in her chair, her chocolate eyes darting to Dareios a partial grin stretching the corner of her mouth, "Wow, just... wow," she breathes, "This feels... incredible," she admits after a moment, sliding out of her chair to stand on her feet which had been painfully sore just moments ago. Stretching her arms over her head, she tests the soreness in her body only to find that it was all but vanished. This only causes the petite woman to grin widely, her body turning towards Dareios, "If I had known it would feel like this, I would have begged to suck your blood the first time I met you," she laughs lightly, her tone tinged with euphoria. It was easy to see that she was still herself but almost like a drunken version of herself, less of a filter and not thinking before she was speaking. "I feel like I could get so much more done in a day if I always felt like this," she giggled before stepping towards Dareios's seated figure. "Thanks for convincing me," she grins before leaning in and kissing his cheek abruptly before leaning back and dancing towards the sink. "I feel like I need to do something. Anything. Do you want to do something with me?"
