North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

The roaring of the vampire's anger filled Audette's ears as he slammed against the door that had held for far longer than the fairy had anticipated. Their luck was quickly running out, of that she was certain, and yet they had made it no further than the end of the alleyway to begin their fleeing anew. At least, such was what the Frenchwoman had anticipated as she asked after any thoughts her companion might have on the matter. Maybe he was familiar enough with the back streets of Sacrosanct to know some decrepit alleyway in which they could get lost in or some shortcut to put some distance between themselves and the thing that moved far too fast for them to out run. A look of clear contemplation crossed the handsome fae's features, his gaze scanning the passageway they found themselves in before, curiously, he reached up to undo the latch on the jewelry around his neck. The ballerina's eyebrow arched upward as she watched him spring into action - Kit heading back towards the door only to drop the sparkling silver chain on the ground - as if that little bit of what she hoped was pure silver was enough to stop him.

Her clove irises followed him as he moved towards a stack of pallets leaning against the far wall near a dumpster, the wood broken off with far more strength then the Ballerina could ever muster before. The very action only further accentuated the muscles of his forearm with each bit of wood he broke off until he had a sharpened point. It hardly took long for Audette to understand his intention, albeit vaguely. A hint of concern visibly crossed her features as she watched the man before her. Would he be able to get close enough to the vampire to strike? Without falling prey to the creature himself? Abruptly, his attention turned towards her, that singular inquiry, however, prompted the ballerina to pause. She nibbled on her bottom lip, altogether aware that there was little option left for her beyond that trust he requested. Slowly, her head nodded firmly. Dutifully, Audette followed his instructions, the young woman moving towards the very edge of the alley, fully within view of the vampire. The door was starting to bow inward, the undead creature's limbs flailing at the edges as he strove to pry the door off his hinges. Softly, the young woman inhaled, watching as Kit repositioned himself behind the door and out of view.

In mere moments, the monster burst out of the doorframe, the door ripped off its hinges as it was blasted across the other side of the alleyway. Those blood red eyes turned towards her, Audette the very object of his obsession as he rushed towards her - oblivious of the silver within his path. The vampire's howl ripped through the air, the silver sizzling against his flesh as he screamed in pain. How oblivious he was to the fae that stalked the shadows - at least until it was too late. Kit's strike rang true, colliding into the creature's chest - into his heart. He burst into flames, his body alight with a fire unlike Audette had ever seen before, only to disintegrate in mere moments into ash, leaving little trace of his entire existence behind. Her lips were parted with a small glimpse of astonishment as Kit wiped his hands, only to reach down for his fallen necklace. The simper on his features was regarded with the same look of shock, only for the young girl to slowly nod. "Monsieur Kit....were you a Hunter in another life? That was magnifique!"
