The night is alive as I wander the sidewalks of Sacro, the pet name I've to use when talking about this original little town. I'm finding out quickly enough that there's well enough just as many supernatural beings as humans. While that's a little disappointing, I see no reason for leaving just yet. As long as the witches don't go balistic and decide to catch all the vampires on fire or something crazy like that, I might as well enjoy my time here. I've met a few interesting characters, what with those two Weres in the warehouse on the docks and that pretty little strawberry blonde human with the pamphlets. I've even come across a very old vampire that runs a club. As long as we don't get into territory matches, I see no reason why we can't just all get along. I'm not a territorial vampire, after all. I travel too much to set down roots and who would want to go and do something so stupid anyway? I find myself outside a place that calls itself the Voodoo Room. You would think such a thing would be run by a witch but I've heard rumors that another vampire calls this place home. Looks like vamps are the newest entrepeneurs now. Too bad I don't feel like owning my own place. Sounds like too much work and I'd just have to pay someone to run it for me. I've got enough income tucked away from my years of play so I don't need a way to make more. I seem to make it just fine on my own. I slide on in and stop for a minute to survey my surroundings. The place is pretty packed with a mixture of humans and supernaturals. The dance floor is full of gyrating girls just aching for the wrong kind of attention but I've got different goals tonight so I slide past and make my way to the bar. I can smell the years on the girl's skin as I move in closer and take a seat next to her. She seems too bothered with glaring at the bartender to notice my presence. My lips etch into a cocky smirk as I place my elbows on the bar and whisper to her. "You know, with looks like that, you don't necessarily have to play the age game. You can shoot a little younger on the scale and no one will see the difference." |
