North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Edith's body seemed to jerk to attention when the male across from her spoke, answering the thought that had just gone through her own mind. For a moment, she wondered if she'd said it aloud, though she was certain that she hadn't. She merely gazed at him with a curious look as he worked to finish the burger that he'd been working on as she picked at her own food â€" though it hardly held any interest for her now that his words were echoing in her own mind. The man's words seemed true enough. She'd known when she'd got here that there was a large Were presence in the city, though she'd been too caught up in merely surviving to get out there and attempt to meet anyone. She wasn't sure exactly how he'd known she was thinking that, but it certainly made the young woman sit up a little straighter in an attempt to look less... pathetic? She'd rather not let this man know how desperate she was right now, though it was possible that he already knew her situation.

There was something peculiar about the man, and it wasn't simply that he had seemingly read her thoughts. His hair concealed his features, leaving him mysterious, and was nearly colorless. Though, despite being unable to see him entirely, she could tell he was handsome. Unlike her, he seemed as though he was entirely comfortable in the upscale neighborhood. But most of all, it was that dominating presence he seemed to cast over the area. An Alpha, it seemed. Or at least someone powerful. "Perhaps not," Edith said simply before he spoke again, his words drawing both her attention and her gaze towards him. Her eyes followed him as he stood, coming to sit beside her. She turned her body slightly, angling herself so that she could see him clearly. Her lip turned up into a slight smirk as she took in his words, looking over at him in a way that clearly showed how interested she was in listening to him. "That's the problem, isn't it? I don't know anyone." She reached out easily, taking his offered hand. "Edith. You can call me Edie, though. Nice to meet you... Frost? Fitting name. Matches your hair."

Edith had just reached down to take another bite of the food in her lap when she watched him shift beside her, reaching into his pocket to pull out the fifty dollar bill. The young woman let her gaze shift over to the money as he spoke, surprised that he was nearly offering it to her. Still, she tried not to seem desperate as she gazed over at it. Fifty dollars would make a huge difference. It would allow her to feed herself for a week or two if she conserved it properly. After all, she'd come out today looking for some way to make money. She was desperate enough to not entirely care how she was going to make the money. It was that alone that caused a smirk to appear on her features as she looked over at him. She refused to allow him to intimidate her despite his clearly Alpha status. He may be an Alpha, but he was hardly her Alpha.

"If you're asking me to sleep with you, you're going to have to fork out more money than that, despite your pretty face," She said with a grin as she wadded up the rest of her lunch â€" any interest she'd had in it previously was entirely gone with his offer. She stood up, moving over to a nearby trash can to throw it away before she turned to look at him. "Luckily for you though, I'm broke and a bit desperate. What do you have in mind?"
