Even as I speak to the zebra/deer thing, I feel violated, like someone is rummaging around in my mind but I can't place it. It's not like he's giving anything away if it IS him. His face remains emotionless, like I'm nothing special. I'm used to that though. I'm a coyote, after all. Scum of the earth, bottom feeders. Except we're not, not my pack, anyway. We're hunters, really just a smaller version of wolves. I shift uncomfortably, trying to shake the feeling like a bad itch. I shake my fur out like I'm trying to shake off the dust, my ears folding to my skull as my tail swishes behind me. I scowl at him, tilting my head. "Are you...doing that? This feeling....like someone's in my head. Whatever it is, stop it." I say bluntly, eyes narrowing at him. When I describe the horrors I've seen humans commit on animal kind, he seems to shrug it off like I'm just talking about the weather, saying that he has seen those things. I snort indignantly. "That's all you have to say about it?" I swear, talking to this guy is like talking to a statue. Doesn't he show emotion about anything? He listens to me jabber on about my pack but I can't tell if he's interested or not, really. I would figure he would tell me to shut up or something if he got bored but like I said, I can't tell if the guy gets bored or not anyway. He twitches his lip but I can't tell what that means. I tilt my head again and raise a brow. "Do you have tourette's or something? Got a twitch? It's creepy. Quit it." When I mention biting him, he lifts his brow and gives an offhand comment. Stupid arrogant bastard. Like he thinks my bite will be akin to a Pomeranian's nip. I should just slap him with my paw and watch how far his bottom jaw flies. That would show him. Suddenly he asks about Caesar, apparently interested in our bond. He asks if he can summon me and my ears flick back and forth thoughtfully before I smirk. "He can howl for me or whatever, if that's what you mean. I have to be close for his words to be in my head but it's only simple things like 'come.' I'm not compelled to go or anything if that's what you're asking. I have my own free will, you know. Bound? I don't understand what you mean by that." I watch him with sudden suspicion when he asks if I want to return to my human form. I sniff and look away, wanting to hide the fact that going human scares the hell out of me. "Return? I would have had to be in a human form at some point to know if I want to return to it. That's just the thing. I don't remember ever being anything but a coyote. I don't know what I want. Am I curious? Of course, who wouldn't be?" I look back up at him. "Will I be able to turn back if I don't like it?" I raise a brow, ears flicking back at his mention that I'll have to do something for him first. "I think it's safe to say you can get your own pine cones so what could I possibly do for you, Rapunzel?" |
