Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Ashes to Ashes |Crishlyn|

Anna had been very displeased indeed. Crishlyn had disappeared without any word leaving Anna confused and upset. She had grown attached to the woman and the games that were indulged in. The first few days Anna had pouted within the manor expecting Crishlyn's return and to bother her about leaving so suddenly. However, as the days crept on Anna became less fond of waiting around. She began her old routine of venturing out into Sacro to her old hunting grounds. Every morning she'd return to the manor though and slip into her bed.

Tonight had been particularly rough for the vampire child. She had been preoccupied with searching for her dear Sebastian that she hadn't fed the last few nights. Now, it was dreary, cold, and raining tonight. That meant the people were hiding indoors, away from Anna's ability to hunt them and those that were out were clustered together to share an umbrella or darting about. Anna disliked the rain because of this reason. She had donned the rain jacket that Crishlyn had gotten her and trudged outside to see what she could find. It was much later in the night, or rather early morning as she could simply sense the sunrise within a few hours. First Anna tried the park to no avail then moved on to the less desirable part of town. There she found a couple, huddled under an umbrella waiting for a taxi. With not having fed, Anna's manipulation power was weak and had trouble grasping at one but she was so hungry that she threw caution to the wind and simply lunged at them. It would have been a rather easy takedown of one or both had she been at her full strength but after grabbing the woman, the man had pulled out a knife which Anna would have never expected. He slashed and jabbed at Anna causing the little vampire to release the woman and hiss at him as blood sprang forth from the wounds he created. This meal was far too much effort so she left.

Anna returned back to the manor hungry, bloodied, and upset. Her wounds would heal slowly due to not being properly nourished which was perhaps her main point of grudge. With a narrowed gaze Anna spun into a tantrum within the landing of the entrance. She grabbed every knick knack, every sculpture, every tapestry, and every painting she could get her hands on, flinging or shredding it until it was all left in pieces along the marble floor. Anna stood amongst the remains, glaring at it with her hands clenching and unclenching at her sides until she was able to gather herself once more. For once in a long time, Anna looked forward to the sunrise so she could sleep. Instead of retiring to her own room as she had done so since Crishlyn left, she changed into her nightgown and climbed into Crishlyn's bed. The woman's scent was faint within the room and the sheets but still enough to give some comfort to the child vampire as she closed her eyes.

The exhaustion had truly drained her so even the setting sun of the next night hadn't caused her to stir. Anna didn't wake until there was movement in the room which in itself was an odd thing nowadays. She rolled over beneath the covers before slowly sitting up to rub at her eyes with a hand, blinking into the darkened room until her vision focused on Crishlyn. The front shoulder of her nightgown was crimson from the healing stab wound which had surely gotten on the sheets as well while a slice across her cheek marred her normally flawless porcelain features. "...Crishlyn? ...Where did you go?..."
